wanted to say something in line with - in case that I'm living on that size of Big Splash, I will send him wine monthly, or even more often
but, then I realized, I'll be much more smarter- I'll drink all his wine

Drinking much coffee, I have slightly decreased 24 hrs per wire and finished up here...needing fuse holder to arrive, and figure out what I'm going to use for
extension kit. Also, Tube-cad site out of usual rotary on-off switch.
Getting ready to plug in and see if I can hear relays click. Continuity seems as it should be.

why you didn't mount that pcb as intended/prescribed/best/dreamed of ?
it seems you have deep enough case

Tried it both ways, and can change if necessary. The position I have knobs on front panel makes mounting extension kits better this way. I left board on long leads input and output as well as didnt bolt transformer down so I could alter if any hum. I had no hum no matter which way I put things, so this was better fit.
When I get extensions, selector will be directly over pin-pad on board, volume just a touch over from being right over transformers.
Yes wires to RCA jacks are a little longer, but on far side of case.
I dont hear relays click. I didnt hear it with just one either. All powered up, hooked to M2. Rails very steady @ 15.25 and 15.26 volts, .1 mV offset or so, could null it, but letting warm up while I drag a source over to it.

Hmmmm, no musak, not a peep.....now to stare at it for a while. 1-2 to C on switch, others, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 to pin on switch that had continuity. Continuity from pin/pad to banded side of diode, thought all was as should be.
Nothing cooked or smoked, so I figure wiring mistake.

Oh, I left first position on selector empty, as "mute".
Wiring error all right, need interconnects connected to M2! Now playing fine, will test other "Selector positions.

you can confirm proper voltage across relay coils measuring across shunt 1N4148 diode
While it plays? Or disconnect music first? Music plays through all RCAs when activated by switch.

Well, today has been spent learning REW, so I can have some fun with H2, and getting some chassis ideas sorted through.
The partner for the IPb will be a pair of BA-3 monoblocks ... so I am trying to get the chassis ideas for both taken care of.
I had the hair-brained idea to mount the donuts for the BA-3 on the front panel of the amp chassis. That turned out to a lot more work than I thought. 😀 If I've learned anything though, NEVER abandon a bad idea.
Riser mounted to front plate and donut mounted to riser. Rock solid and saves a wee bit of space.

I can't quite figure out layout for IPb yet. Getting two pots mounted toward the rear of the chassis to keep wiring short and not being right up against the transformers is going to be a tight fit. Ideas are certainly welcome, but I see myself going with a single pot. I am really glad I got a full width chassis. WHEW! Donut overkill. I thought I only needed one donut, so I got the Antek 50VA. Coulda gone just a weeeeeeee tad smaller. Note they will certainly be flipped ...

best to switch off the amp, move it to neighbor on left, move speakers to neighbor on right, then close the lid on Iron Pre, pull mains cord from it and then poke with probes through slots on top lid

what's music having with measurement of relay coil voltage?
I don't care is it singing or not, while you measure that, if you have need to measure that

do you have enough height to mount donuts one on top of the other?

Lid not on, well sitting on but not connected. Until extenders hooked up, selector and volume pots in side.
Measure them as it, or as I assume, each one as it is activated?
Thanks,
Russellc
I should have mentioned that. I do not. 2U chassis.

Show off! LOL. Moving board and transformer around, I didnt get hum no matter how I oriented it.
Board is dead quiet. M2 or Aleph J, both quiet.
