Pictures of your diy Pass amplifier

Nice Aleph J.
But I would not use copper-plates or boards, no crimps and no channel-separated psus. That looks professional (but it is just copied), but it does sound ugly. I would try - before I regret in ten years or so...-(((
And NO wooden casing,-!
With frank, with best intent.
My priority is durability and scalebility to exchange different FW amps with using same psu and chassis. I know out there many people who can differenciate sound of cables, connectors. I only use $0.5/m cable, no name connector but it's sturdy without loose connection. I even cant notice CRC vs CLC differences. I'm lucky that I have less things to worry about, just build it beautifully by the look of the eyes, no hum/hiss heard by ears 😀

With two engine turn on in your car and going to your job you consume more than 60 days of listening in class A amplifiers
I rarely have time to turn on the sound system during working day, while during holiday my twin boys occupy my time. Just consider 300W used by all, 4hr usage on holiday, that will be :
4hr x 2day x 4week x 300W = 9.6kW/month

With my electricity rate ~ $0.1/kW, it means $1 every month for my hobby, not something to worry 😎

Actually there are no problem with class A amps.
If you consider that your car has an engine of 50HP, each time you drive for one hour you consume five times more that your monthly with your amps. Mr NP explained very well.
Best Regards

My audio is always on while I'm at home. It's 15 hour a day in work days. Minus 1 hour for going out for food it will be 14 hours a day. For weekends it is 20 hours a day, so:

14h x 21 days = 294h
20h x 09 days = 180h
Total per month = 474h

With 400W amplifier it will be 196 kWh.
With $0.1/kWh it will be $19.6 every month.
Yeah, rite! It cannot be more expensive than wasting time with the hobby... 🙂

I tend to switch off everything, when not in immediate use, due to fire hazard.
Friends house just burned down due to christmas light transformer.

My house is directly heated with electricity (ok I have 2 air source heat pumps to help) but turning on an amp using 300W does not change my electricity bill at all.
Unless it is a summer day or amp is next to a heat pump 🙂

My Pass HA 😀:
