My progress. Should have used PCB boards with traces. P2P is tedious. 🙄
Haha P2P 😀
My was 3 small amp. sub circuits :
1 | CCS
2 | Audio path
3 | Bias voltage
transformer was soldered directly to RCA input
Sometimes is good time on the bench.
Printed schematic on the paper then connection I finished is marked OK before the next one step.
I can visualise more easyly all P2P connections who is ready done 🙂 Have Fun

Well, that's just down right artistic. 🙂
😀 Thanks Vince!
Btw I do stereo P2P Korg preamp on one perfboard and was very complicated with 8 small jfet's etc.
I show this leater in the adequate thread
Even though it's late in the thread Zen Mod suggested I stick my nose in over here. After a brief review I'm intrigued. I believe I might have enough heatsinks for a good start. Hmmmmmm................... 😉
I would definitely go all out with a 1kW three phase 600v version! Then I would sell the fireplace in my basement.
Regards,
Dan

Nope, just thinking of a robust power supply. I may be able to get away with a single main power supply. I'll have to check but I think I have four very large heatsinks that will allow me to put both channels into a single enclosure. Time will tell...............

Dan

To start,
1500VA 38-40V Transformers | Plitron Manufacturing
Some heavy duty bridge rectifiers
VBE60-06A IXYS | Discrete Semiconductor Products | DigiKey
Lots of capacitance
2pcs NEW KENDEIL K01 22000UF 75V CAP AUDIO QUAD303 QUAD 405 UPGRADE NAIM!63V rep | eBay
I think I have four previously enjoyed 159ZL's lying around,
D.C. Reactors or filter chokes (153-159 Series) - Hammond Mfg.
The makings of a good power supply that'll dim the lights in my neighborhood?

How is the 10000uF output cap value calculated? Is it the output impedance in parallel w/ the 220R resistor as an RC circuit? If so, that would give a rolloff (-3db) around 14hz on the CCS tap and 24hz on the middle tap, correct? But this measures flat out to 10hz. I guess I'm missing something. Just want to know where it comes from.
*Edit, I guess it would be 220R + 22R in series and then parallel w/ the output impedance. Doesn't affect the numbers though.
