Thanks!

DIY PCB - Bipolar (opamp) power supply | eBay
I’m getting just under 20vdc +/- from it—could easily tweak it lower or higher. It’s nicely compact. I speced shorter sinks than what’s in the BOM, to fit 1U height.
Thanks for the info pfarrell
Here is my implementation of Wayne's pre.
I used Meladano's Muses volume.
Different PSU for analog and digital section (78xx and 79xx with RC filters), display is very noisy.
I finished it last night. It was turned on for the whole night.
I wanted to set up the final offset on morning and I drilled a hole on the upper PCB to easy reach the trimmers.
I broke out both pots with the drill bit.
I don't have replacements in this form factor.
Jim, what is the part number of the trimmers?

Beautiful implementation, I love the form!

I have a pair of the original boards as donated (sm devices).
Due to severe gout in a hand I will not be using them, but will build the newer through hole model just as soon as I can get the boards from the Forum Store.
IF you live in the EU and want these original boards please send me a PM.
First come gets them. I will post here when they have been claimed...they are free from 6L6 via a brief rest period grounded here in Scotland!!

This is awesome, great build, great layout, and wonderfully short signal path. Very clean build!
Cheers,
Greg
Brilliant build. Are the amp boards mounted by the power and ground solder pads and copper wire?
Yes.
Use a RC Filter in display power supply
I use it in another build, yes it works perfectly.
I like Your volume boards.
Thanks

Okay—so my build is different from Rookakoma's—MAN, YOUR BUILD IS INCREDIBLE!... LOVE.
Took a bit to get it quiet (Wiring it up wrong at first didn't help—didn't follow my own wiring schematic! gah!)—but WOW. DEAD SILENT now. Really loving what it's doing through the phones... Can't wait until plugging it into AJ. And do some A/B action with Mark's Noir just for enlightenments.
Most of the issues I had were understanding how to wire up the selector from the Salas Mezmerize-style input selector.... And putting ground wires wherever I needed to to get it silent (Thanks 6L6!!!!!!)
And of course—thanks Wayne! This was an AWESOME build.

Thanks guys!
Good combo here—IMO—with current exploration. AJ and Wayne's. Has a "clarity" so far, compared to B1K, lots of factors of course, so only meaningful to me perhaps. Is there a "burn in" period?
Will try with F5 too! My B1K is somewhat noisy—now that I know how quiet "quiet" is, I may mess around with it. AJ build didn't turn out as quiet as my F5 build... so this is a massive improvement in that regard. Iron Pre in the future—more!
I think this might be addictive.

PL XP12 linstage compared to this linestage..
I gather the xp12 and xp22 use the Toshiba Jfets, not implying that there are Toshiba jfets around, which I know there aren't. Does this linestage topology use "jfets" or only "fets"? I don't know if jfets were only produced by Toshiba. Just thinking of how similar this preamp might come to the xp12 soundwise, both being designd by Wayne C.

The 2SK209GR is a Toshiba Jfet, in current production, and there are twenty-three thousand in stock at mouser right now.

The rest of the transistors are bipolars.

Okay—so my build is different...
From where did you source those cool looking control knobs?
I'm having difficulty locating a vendor of 'audiophile' size and style control knobs. Thanks.
