Toroidal core calculation

Yes, you can join your wire.
Beware that the wires vibrate and could wear through insulation.
At the least double insulate the joint.
The "bulge" at the joint could be accommodated on the outer edge with little downside.
Don't put a "bulge" on the top or bottom.
The inner of the core is where the most copper must be placed and space is at a premium. Don't waste that space.

Can I joint Magnet wire for winding transformer if magnet wire get shortage. What precaution I have to take during winding. Is any loss on voltage or current, can that joint heat up. Please help

locate the joint so that it does not land at the edges,
slip a heat shrink tube over the joint when done...
get yourself a plastic. or rubber mallet to shape up the
windings, do not hit the wires strongly, use gentle force just enough....

You don't want adhesive on the insulation tape. Adhesive makes installation almost impossible with the long unbroken tape that needs to be wrapped around.

I would think that there is too much air in a cotton tape. That air will be an effective thermal insulator and make the transformer run hot.

Which tapes I have to use for insulation between primary & secondary Can you suggest some.

is he making a toroid or a charcoals?

i do not see how a torroid traffo can have a temperature in the 400*C range...
the only way for higher temperature rise is by severely overloading the traffo
at which time the fusses would have blown....

cotton tapes are used in motors that can have temperatures in the 100*C...

Toroidal transformer

Hello AndrewT & Tony

Finally Done primary winding today of my toroidal core.Attach photo of transformer below. 755 round of 0.914 mm magnet wire. core size before winding OD-100mm, ID-60mm, Ht-50mm (M4,CRGO) as we discuss early on this thread. Please replay soon
