Pearl 3 Burning Amp 2023

Sound is GREAT!

First LP is by a Swedish progressive “adventure rock” band I saw over the weekend called Hällas. I can say they were a Top 10 live act for me, and that’s in a very large pool of gigs I’ve enjoyed. Volume is LOUD while my wife is out for the next hour.

You're gonna have to call it De Pëarl Kölme the way you're going with your Müsik Tæste in bänds...

I got a mail from Modushop about the "Black week".
I wonder if it would be possible to buy a P3 chassis set using the "Black week" discount?

Yes, stacking them the PSU comes even closer to the P3 boards than the 1-chassis solution.

From a noise perspective the 2SK209 isn't as quiet as the 2SK170. The Data sheets both have noise references in dB and the 2SK170 also has nanovolts per square root Hertz. A quick way to look at it is to compare the transconductance of 15 mS Vs 22ms. With 4 in parallel 450 pV vs 530 pV. This is close enough.

Ok, nothing to worry about.
Could the 2SK209 benefit from being a smd-type so circuit will be more compact with shorter signal paths?
Also the 2SK170s will sit like small antennas and pick-up noise compared to the 2SK209?
Probably pure imagination. But if it is a bit true it will make me sleep better and I will be happy with 2SK209 🙂
