Pearl 3 Burning Amp 2023

I listened vinyl few hours with XLR,
I want to listen more and more, enjoyed how it sounds.
tried muses01,muses05 X2,muses8920.
01 sounds softer,05 sounds more clear,8920 sound clear, a little thinner.
When XLR output,somehow I preferred muses8920 (3.5usd) for me.
Separate chaissis took time to build, glued iron plate on lid, eventually it was worth taking time and satisfied.
Thank you so much for wonderful project!
Do you hear a discerning difference between RCA and XLR with different opamps? I've only tried Muses05 and XLR sounds ever so slightly brighter than RCA on the Iron Pre.

Yes,I hear difference each.
I like Muses05 so much as single opamp.
Muses05 is accurate, clear, thicker sound and better color in sound.
But for dual,
I find something unnatural.
So I use muses01 or 8920.
Later I will try again for my ear get used to.
When I use XLR with Ironless pre (balanced B1 pre) ,I hear difference but each opamps sounding good.
I feel muses8920 with XLR is just ok to me.
With RCA, it's a bit thin sound.

took me about about an hour. Didn't remove C1 as recommended. Taking it out would have made things easier but I decided to pay for my crime. Managed to get them in place with the masking tape using a spudger and a toothpick. Got continuity at all the legs. All that is left is the balanced driver then to wire them up in the chassis. But first, a break.

If SMD is the future of things, I need to get one of those magnifying work light thingies.

I'm finding head lenses more handy/heady than magnifying desk lamp

Whenever I tried head lamp and no matter how long I tried, I just kept banging my head on, and everything else

light ones, *2 to *3, I tried all form variations....... linked cheapo ones, these are best for me, though - to make them proper - I made holes on back ends and tied sort of elastic, so I can set them on head without falling but also without invoking headache from too much pressure

I even got them to Sea Ranch ........ :clown:

I've got both the head mount lens system and a couple different desk mount lamps. I agree with ZM, that the head mount comes in really handy for soldering (particularly with SMD). I find I use the desktop mount magnifying lenses very helpful when trying to read part labels.

I have both and the headband ones are more useful for me, these are the ones that I currently use.
I went the "cheap route"
I used to work with something like this at my former job:

but since retiring (71 now) and not having access to it anymore, I just went on AliExpress and bought some cheap reading glasses.
Proper light at the working table, and +1, +2, +3 and +4 glasses fit every distance and component size.
And a set of these 4 glasses you can get for less than $20 (y)
