Sharp XR10X
I have a Sharp XR10X projector. The lamp has went bad on it and I was shocked at what they are charging for replacements. ANXR10LP is the case and bulb part number.
I started to look the unit over and wondered if just the bulb itself could be replaced.
I came accross this message board and found this topic being discussed at length.
I tried to find a part number on the bulb itself, but it must be where it is broken. It looks like it could be an easy fix to just change the bulb, but wondering what the cost and if the right bulb is available.
Please help!
Thanks, John
BTW, Your discussion here is very interesting!

After going through this long thread

I don't know if you still have it in hand and am very appreciated your responding.
Thanks a lot,

I know the lamp is 260W Metal Halide DC, but some this type lamp is run in 40v about.
most are 60~80v, they can not run in 40v ballast.
so you have to test the V

Hi ywh,
How can I test the Voltage?
I currently can't power on my projector properly.
With lamp installed, its temp led will blink red and projector will go into standby mode. From its manual, this seems to be a fan problem. But I doubt it, because when I power on, the fan will run 1 or 2 seconds and then stop.
Without lamp installed, its lamp led will blink red and projector will also go into standby mode. I tried to test the voltage of two pins which are supposed to connect to the lamp, but I got 0 for output.
Thanks.
YWH: You told me to pay 18Wheeler. What is his email address, or paypal address? I went to the DIYpro website and that address does not work. I wrote to it 3 times with no response.

Hi supwang!
there is a switch, if you open lightbox's door, it will power off, you have to keep it power on, check it, lock the switch.

Hi vpredtec !
dont bother the crack, it can be used,
be careful in remove the ceramic cover, you can break ceramic cover, but have to catch the ceramic holder, dont break the cement between glass and ceramic holder.

YWH or Fly2max: I have the Infocus LP350. Can either of you confirm if this is a single ended or double ended bulb? I definatly see wires going to both ends of the bulb, but 18wheeler says I should also see a screw at each end which I do not have.
Any advice on the proper bulb would help.
YWH previously told me I need a JYS dc 270W but in single or double ended mode?
Thank you

To all who have order ywh's lamp
Can any of you provide and details of how you centered your lamp and how has the brightness/longevity been using these lamps?

I searched the threads, but could not find any instructions for installing with the cement. Is there any?

Hi ywh,
It's 40V DC lamp (260w). How can I buy it from you? Through moneybookers?
Thanks.
