cement and wire

Hi ywh,

thanjks for the lamp, it exactly is the same like i needed! Great help!

Question 1: how do i mix the cement? with water only? do i need any other material (sand?) how much water?

Question 2: JYd lamps have two wires on top, one thick wire to connect to the power, but what purpose does the THIN WIRE have that is wrapped around the glass? Do you leave it this way or what to do with it?

Cheers!

testing

hi ywh,

i inserted the lamp i got from you in the right position, but have not put cement yet.

Do you think I can try it in the projector without cement to adjust the lamp or will I have the RISK with 25kV that the electricity jumps from one wire to the other production a SHORT voltage?

Cheers,
tom

Hi ! loudeye
where did you gone yesterday? in holiday? the DHL said can not contact you😀

Question 1:
yes! with water only, this cement is like tectonic cement , mix the cement with water to glutinous, like toothpaste,

Question 2: the THIN WIRE is start wire, dont remove it

Question 3:you can try it in the projector without cement to adjust the lamp, but how do you fit bulb?

lamp adjustcment

hi ywh,

probably DHL was on holiday, will go on holiday in some weeks :whazzat:

to replace the old lamp with the new I had to completely deconstruct the whole lamp, remove glass from the front so that I could get the old lamp out from front. I put the new lamp in from the front as well, so that it comes out at the back 1cm, but not more, as the blub won´t fit through the whole. Thats ok.

When removing the old lamp I noticed that there was a plastic ring between the bulb and the rear part, so that the cement cannot drip into the reflector. What do you use as protection so that when applying the cement it does not affect the reflector? Do you apply it holding the lamp up (from bottom) or apply some kind of protection ring as well?

so the bulb is now more ore less at it´s position (loose), but will need final fixation with the cement. how long does the cement take to dry?

what does the start wire do? the old lamp looks exactly the same as the new I got from you, but does not have this start wire??

cheers,
tom

Hi Ywh,

Thankyou for the jys/dc lamp + cement sent (to reena) for Nec MT1040, I have inserted the lamp in roughly the same measured position of the original lamp, the brightness is perfect, however I am getting a green tint in the projected image which is very noticeable in the white/lighter colours of the image, I have no clue why this is happpening, have you any idea why ?

Thankyou in advance !!!!

Hi ywh,

Thanks for the quick response, I have already made adjustments to the hue which has taken quite a bit of the green out, however, I have noticed that one side of the image still has a higher concentration of green than the other, could this be because the bulb is not centred as accurately as it should be in the reflector.

Thanks again !!!!!

Hi ywh,

Sorry for the delayed response, the voltage of the lamp before it starts is 16V. To test I had to take the reflector with lamp out of the cage, then connect the leads, jam the cover sensor and turn on, I tested the Voltage immediately before the lamp started. What I did notice when the lamp started was the greenish light when looking at the back/side of the reflector, its far to bright to look at the front of the reflector directly in to the lamp.

Thankyou for your assistance.

Hello ywh,
I'm about to order a replacement bulb for my Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector. Original bulb used by this projector is 135W UHP so I figured that I need JYD/AC 150W. My question is do I need SE or DE type? What is the difference between them? Original bulb has wires on both ends. Also do I place the final order on diypro.us or I send money directly to you? How long will the shipping take to Canada?
Thanks.
