The bulb is DC.
I can't test the voltage because when I take off the bulb door when it is on the projector shuts off.
You mean testing the voltage that the ballast is puting out right? Because I don't know any other way to do that w/out taking the bulb door off when it's on and testing the two metal pins.

Need bulb for Infocus SP4805
Ywh:
Do you offer a replacement lamp for the SP4805?
It is a 200 watt SHP- I think it's DC from the look of the electrodes.
Also how about a lamp for the Panasonic AE900u?
Uses a 130w UHM.
Thanks!

Hi Mclorkus
you can contact two wire with the pinouts out of the bulb door , dont need to take the bulb door off
Hi ! proto5
SHP is DC lamp, but there is some risk to replace this lamp, some case are fail.
About the 130w UHM, have you seen the electrodes.
if they are same size, JYD/AC can do it.

Ywh- Ok, I got the two wires to go into the pinouts. I can't get it to measure the voltage when it's on though.
I put the Voltage tester to 1000 and it doesn't do anything when I touch it to the pinouts. When I start the projector up it makes a clicking noise like it's trying to start the bulb. Then when no bulb is in it turns off after 30 seconds.
Should I have the wires in and try to put the bulb in also? Then test the voltage?

try letting the light fire up, then testing the voltage. the ballast might be sensing the meter, and won't fire the bulb.

YMH,
Do you carry the bulb for the Sharp XGE1000U or XGE1000UB. From the lamp I've been able to track the following:
It will also power the Sharp XVS96U and XV-S55U. The model # is BQC-XGE1000U2. It is a 350w metal halide lamp with 2000hr estimated life.
Here is an image
Again, for american voltage.
Thanks
Victor

You said-

What kind of fail?
Dou you have any details on the arc length of your lamps?

Hi ! Mclorkus
test , when the bulb is working but not start, you need the bulb.
Hi ! victor-eyd
it is a 350w metal halide, but DC or AC?
Hi ! proto5
the jyd replace shp, the arc length is not important

Arc Length
Ywh:
You say:
"the jyd replace shp, the arc length is not important"
Don't different arc lengths require different startup voltages?
If I am ready to order the 200W Jyd what is the proper procedure?
Thanks!

lamps to Panny AE900
Hi victor-eyd
I have the great request to you about the help.
Mine English is weak and I have difficulties with the explanation on writing about what I have on the thought.
I have the intention to ask the projector technician(frank456 or MrFent on www.avsforum.com) for the application of the tension of the lamp in AE900 and making exact the picture bulb, or at least maybe he writes if this is the lamp DC or AC.
This question will introduce you more easily maybe?
Please don't be angry that I you about this please.
These data is necessary for ywh
So that he can to send lamps to Panny AE900 .🙂

YMH,
What is the difference between a bulb that is DC rated vs a bulb that is AC rated? Is it possible that the lamp I got from you last time is not firing because it was a DC version?

hey ywh
why i should not try pioneer xvd with jyd dc???
the electrode distance is shorter then the one of the jys dc right?
and on the jys i got about 95 Volts = too much
so i will get a lower voltage with the shorter arc...
yeah i connectet my lamp correctly... the big part in the electrode to the + .....
i extra opened my plus u2 x2000 to check how to connect a dc lamp rightly.....
now i got the jyd lamp.... should i not try it=??? what kind of lamp uses he pioneer??
do you got lamp ballasts to sell??? (perhaps with on diodes / pw good diodes?)
thank you

YMH,
I just looked at my Sharp XGE-1100UB pj and found it is a AC rated projector.
Curious, but the last order I bought from you, was that lamp AC or DC?

victor-eyd
it's Native is 640x480 Pixels only.

order info
Ywh or 18wheeler:
For the 3rd time I am asking how to order ......need 200 watt DC lamp for infocus sp4805.
Someone really needs to set up a website to deal with all the specifications of different lamps/projectors.
It seems to be a major ordeal every time someone tries to order! Not the best way to do business.
We also need a FAQ on proper alignment technique when installing new bulbs....if this is not correct you will have low light output or even damage your projector!
Thanks!

YMH,
This is a picture of the bulb I bought:
This is the specs of the projector from the back of the case
Regarding the XGE1000UB, yes it is a 640x480 projector but it rendered a very good image and the price I bought it was right ($0.00) so if I can get a bulb from you for about $40 or so this is a great investment for me. Please tell me what the price is should you be able to provide a bulb.
Here is a picture of the pj specs listed in the back of the case

hi all
he proto 5 take it easy.....
you have to read at the main site of ywh..... there stands how to order....
just make a paypal donation with the correct ammount and write in the payment your adress and order...
after 7 - 14 days you will get your stuff^^....
its impossible to make a correct manual for each lamp....
there are many 100eds of projectors.....
important is:
-the lamp type (ac, dc , short arc (<2mm) oand or normal (low pressure >2mm arc distance)
also 4 lamps....
-the wattage!!
-the Hot spot!! (measure the old lamps hotspot and be sure to get the same.....)
- - and + if its a DC lamp
Then youst get the old one out eith a Dremel and a1 or 2 mm diamant cutting drill.
set the new one in with gypsum or white cement or holts firegum
(do not get it on the lamps hotspot!!)
let it safely dry... maybe with the help of hot air..
set it in and
HAVE FUN!!
DANGER!!! THE LAMP WILL GET A START VOLTAGE OF ABOUT
25`000 VOLTS!!!!!!
LIFE DANGER!!! DO NOT MODIFICATE THIS PARTS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!
😕
there are some german links listet in this audio forum...
