Thanks for the support, I been trying with pump and wick for 2 hours now . Due to the large gap between pin and Pad it is not going to be easy. May be I should get another Cronus board

Take a photo of troubled parts and bring it here. Perhaps, Russ or Brian or someone in expertise may give you a better advice. Avoid handling the board in a rough way or do not repeat unyielding treatment so many times.

ok the Rhea modules are out.I had to apply heat from component side to each pins and it was quick. But in the process I had to sacrifice the pins.
Anyway feel relieved that Cronus board is left without any damage.
Now when I need those Rhea modules I have to source those pins. Or may be I can buy them Brian with my next purchase of Rhea modules.
I am still waiting guys ,do I need both 22.5792/24.576MHz Rhea Pair or for CD audio just need one 22.5792Mhz rhea Module?

Twluke thanks, I am ordering the 22.5792 for now. i am planning to buy BsE boards soon and have the Rhea board pair already. But now they are without pins. Brian can I get 8 pins from you with my next order ?
If not an option please suggest me a mouser part no, I will get it with my next purchase.

I can send you some extra pins. Not a problem.

A bit frustrated by not able to progress with Software side of the build. I am looking for some simple instructions ( staring with very basics after making the image on SD card) specifically for opus from building the botic to playing files viai2s
. Unfortunately the instructions on google documents are either corrupted or something I am not doing right!

I2S

The simplest and best way to to wire the Cronus to the opus will be to orient the digital output of the Cronus close to the digital input of the Opus - then just use short (1 or 2 inches if you can) hookup wire between the modules - one for GND,BCK,LRCK(D1 on Cronus), Data(D2) on cronus. You will then use it as you would any other source with Opus.

Cheers!
Russ
I am a bit confused looking at Opus PCM input
Opus BCK=? in cronus
Opus MCK=MCK (cronus)
Opus LRCK=D1 (cronus)
Opus DIN=D2(cronus)
Opus G= ANY ? ground on digital side in cronus ,2,4,6,8,10 pins?

BCK -> DCK

BCK (Bit Clock) and DCK(Digital Clock) are two different names that can be used for the same signal - different manufacturers will typically use one or the other. Because we know folks will look at datasheets we use the name the DAC manufacturer uses on those modules.

There is a GND position for the terminal block (next to D2). Use that.

my integrated amps inputs are RCA,and don't have converter, how should I connect my opus to AMP?

Before asking this question, you might want to learn how to change balanced output to single-ended output like RCA. Even before ordering this opus kit, you should have been to be well aware of what type of output the opus has. It is clearly mentioned in the manual and I'm sorry to say that it's apparent that you didn't read it.

Anyway, the best way to solve your problem is to hook up IVY-III or Legato to the opus for SE output, i.e. RCA connection. BAL connection to RCA is possible but you'll have to enjoy noisy sound.
