Well, it depends on your needs. FreeDSP OCTAVIA can be used without RPI or Amanero. In this case, you'll need USBi. But if you use RPI then USBi will be optional. Because EEPROM can be programmed via RPI's I2C as a TCPi. You can choose the various boards you like to use.By cards you mean the Amanero USB->I2S, Raspberry Pi or USBi cards, right?

Hi Everyone,
Today I tried implementing the Electric Guitar Amp Simulator for play-along with FreeDSP OCTAVIA.
This was inherited from Stephan Moeller's VLOG project.
Some additional features are added. (Drive Gain Control, NoiseGate, Chorus Effect, Reverb, Cabinet Impulse Response, Additional EQ)
I used 2SK30A J-FET Source-Follower buffer for RCA-Analog Input. Adding a dedicated optional ADC board to I2S Input header will be better for permanent use.
Other Digital Sources can mixed with your Guitar Sound.
AUX1: Gain Control
AUX2: Chorus Effect
AUX3: Reverb Volume
AUX4: Guitar Sound Level
Play Guitar KARAOKE, Just Have Fun!

I checked today the availability of the parts. All parts are now available again. Last time I checked some transistors were still missing.
So we are almost ready to order.
I now need to know who wants to have one (firm commitment). To some of you I already spoke directly.Everyone else pls DM me if you are interested as well.
I think so far with the people I spoke i gathered interest for 9 boards. So 10 board order should be doable. If it is getting more than 10 boards we have to see if it worth splitting up the order depending on where you all are living (because of shipping costs)

Hello sb-San,
The available I2S port is only one input. ADAU1452/1466 has four I2S input and output ports, but the I2S output is fully occupied by embedded DAC. Both DSP chips are useful, it depends on the chance of stocks and the ordering policy. (-$10 Cost vs Double Data Memory and little ASRC Performance difference)

In your case, you can use three I2S Inputs, but no I2S output as well...Note: I will not be using the Raspberry or the Amanero Combo384.

The circuit board has been soldered, but it does not work properly. After importing the sample project, some channels do not have sound, only 0/1 treble output and one bass channel output. I think it's not a hardware problem. I'm not very good at using the SigmaStudio software.

I found some clock domain setting issues and source LUT value issues in my sample projects.
Now I have fixed all the issues, I hope you can evaluate them.

So far I have interest for 11(+1) boards. So if you want a second board or know someone who might be interested, let me know. I can only order 10 or 15.
with 15 boards the price should be around 120USD per board (incl tht components) with ADAU1466 (+ shipping to you; prices might also change a bit depending on availabilities on JLC)

I guess you mean an output 32/33. Please check out the crossover frequency of the low output part. It must be below 0.1Hz. So please set it higher than 20Hz.After importing the new sample project, it still does not work properly, and the same problem still exists.

CyberPit Thank you for your reply. I replaced the 0/1 channel DAC-PCM5102A with a 32/33 channel and it worked. It seems that my DAC chip is broken. I will test it again after purchasing a new DAC chip. There is also a problem with the new demonstration project. Only the Amanero input source is valid, and other input sources are invalid.
If you have an oscilloscope at hand, check the lines from the DSP to the DAC. I had a cold solder joint at one of the series SMD resistors between the DSP and the DAC.

You can use this not only for SMD rework but also to shrink the heat shrink isolation tubes as well.

My version 0.33j OVTAVIA board indicates values on top of the Level4 indicator.
So, In my case, LUT.txt will be like this...
0=Mute, 1=RPI, 2=USB, 3=SPDIF, 4=ANALOG

The source selection issue has been resolved, and the LUT values for the demonstration project are correct. However, the LUT values must be manually entered again or imported into the LUT.TXT file to take effect.
