whatever :
next year ZOOM allowed just for non-US residents

pity it was so small number of in vivo participants

Yeah, I always forget pictures too. Luckily, Jim sent me this picture of my ‘in room’ Zoom appearance 🙂 Hopefully Jim won’t mind me sharing
who's that funny guy, in between CodyT and TomV, and why his pic is bigger than CodyT's?

For this post, define mFET := an integer number "m" of Fairchild J113 field effect transistors connected in parallel. All sources tied together, all gates tied together, all drains tied together.
Front end ==
two mFETs connected as a differential pair
with resistor loads between drains and TopSupply
and with one mFET connected as constant current source #1 between diffpair "tail" (source node) and Bottom Supply
That is the First Half of the front end. The Second Half is
one PNP bipolar transistor connected as a common emitter amplifier. Input (base) is connected to First Half output (mFET drain), Common (emitter) is connected to Top Supply, and Output (collector) is connected to CCS#2
and finally another mFET is connected as constant current source #2 between PNP collector and Bottom Supply.
Total device count = 4 mFETs plus 1 PNP.
Here is one example of a J113 datasheet in pdf format.

I think ZM is right, it was fun to see Pa in the first part so formal and not so amused as mostly.
But after first astonishment about different flavor.....
Nelson that you hold his speech without break and fully concentrated without flops from beginning to end, respect, respect!

luckily, you had a Court Jester at your side
Yes, I was literally surrounded by audio greatness in that pic! Must be why I look so serious… 🙂luckily, you had a Court Jester at your side
