These were two really very very interesting night sessions for me, the BAF2022!

:—))

Sometimes like being in university,, very high level, but good for the brain. I want to thank all people that made it possible by heart!

Nelson, I was half sleeping sometimes....... :—)),
So I did not catch when your Tokin and pre circuits are supposed to be published and I pressed the two buttons of my iPad too late when you showed the circuit of the Pre for a short time. Could you tell the info again please?

Thanks!

I think the document is supposed to come soon. I am not schooled in electronics so try to grasp this somehow and please let someone more knowledgeable chime in on those circuits. It did appear as these were very simple circuits even up to the point Nelson encouraged anyone to just build and try out the different topologies. But of course Nelson can make such things look easy. The first lightbulb amp is a known circuit as he mentioned, but I would like to know more about the other circuits and the elegant solutions proposed.

I am also curious about the modular front end Nelson developed for this purpose and showed the pcb for that which should be a $10 build and coming in the shop.

All I can tell is - from short glimpse on screen - I got an impression of recent Treshold FE accommodated for single rail

though, every discrete OP is similar, and we all know that devil s in details

in this case Devil sporting Papasmile

Pa said lecture paper is going to be in a week time on FW site

two small pcbs - well, he didn't said, apply appropriate current smiley: :snail:

And it was kinda out of focus. I only saw that it had a differential input and with using j113 (n channel), something similar to the revised Stasis FE makes sense.

I also caught the 'wait a week' comment, so there's definitely more fun stuff to look forward to soon.

Cheers,
Dennis

I tried recording when Jon started his lecture, but Zoom said that I need to get a permission from main Boss, for which I was lazy

now- my head was hurting from lectures first day, and from Plazma tweets Lecture

all 3 being way above my head ....... and frankly - my days of listening space improvement and speakers construction long time gone (occasional play with Tann enclosures and xovers are too easy - just mileage, easy one)

when Jon started, I was more on my own and when Pa was speaking I was mostly laughing all the time - fun to see him sorta formal and serious, on his own recording

besides, of those - I already built them all, so no adrenaline rush

Papa's latest series of Plethora of Easy Pieces is not pulling my leg exactly, but I'm certainly more than aware of their importance, allowing new members in our funny world to start ..... big!

hope to hop next year; but only if Workshop in Guest House is at least formed; must do something while Pa is having his Beauty Sleep (and I'm sleeping extraordinary short, due to Jet lag effect)

What was attendance like in person? I feel like I saw spikes around 80-100 on Zoom.
Mm, the ACA build room looked like it had two dozen or so builders when I'd pop in. The high end room(s) maybe another half dozen from time to time. The room I was in (I brought my Arch Nemeses) would have anywhere from say 3 to two dozen people, depending. The talks on Sunday, maybe 50?

So let's call it up to 50 people. Like a dolt, I didn't take any pictures. 🙄
