first post of thread is having links to all (final) iterations
observe THD Spectra for each ( same nature but overall level different) and observe max power (both for 8 and 4 ohms)
think what is more important for your specific needs - max power or more Sugar
also take in account that pure mos can be crippled in Iq department without too much penalties, in case of having lesser chunk of heatsinking on disposal
I wrote earlier , my friend made his in 4U/400 tnx to that, and biased it to measly 1A, while he's perfectly happy listening to same speakers as shown here

I'm very lucky in that I have (thanks to the mighty ZM) both a SissySIT (42) and aXAS252 Big Puck running. They are both such great amps. Would I assemble a XAS252 SIT? - probably. Do I need one. Probably not? It would only be to satisfy my curiosity. Would I build a Scryer? Yes - to see the difference the FE makes. ZM and NP have provided us with so many options. It's experimental heaven. Sony VFETs, Old Soul,LuDEF, toobz......Sorry I am rambling. My conclusion for me, of course and knowing that it may not be an option for everyone, was to have a Sissy and a XAS 252 BP. (for now)
Well, score one point for the simplicity of the full-mosfet version. You could build that one as a starting point to check functionality, then switch the circuitry over to accommodate the SET once you understand the flavor of the amp etc.
Question: Has anyone other than Zen Mod built the SET or the SIT version?

could you please explain the relation (or contradiction?) between "max power and more sugar"? (I mean an explanation for low sophisticated Greenhorns

Many thanks.
PS: I will start my build soon, have to finish some other projects.
What would be the maximum power supply voltage for MOS version without schematic changes and maximum practical power dissipation per output mosfet (i have BIG heatsinks).
Cool, many thanks, now I understand it👍2nd dominant THD is Sugar
I received the Goods! 🥳Hopefully soon if customs decides to release the goods.
Big chassis is waiting…. 😜
Wow, the big boss might read this thread, Hehe.
ZM,
Good move to add another CCS package to future proof the design in these days of ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ parts inventory.
Now the fun begins…

without any changes in parts values, say that you can go to 40Vdc rails
Iq, whatever your sinks can endure, pucks will do the job
though, how much you can set without change in bias circuit - dunno or don't remember
anyhow, to re-set that for your liking is trivial, change of one resistor near precision CCS
my advice - ya need bigger amp - build bigger amp
this one is perfect as is (Modesty ZM) - remember - Theme Park is PL XA25; it is nominally 25W amp

2A and 35v rails is good for me. I only asked because you made a comment earlier that implied the SET version could not go as high, but perhaps I misinterpreted what you said.
I remember saying that SIT and SET iteration are having less power than full MOS, which is completely logical, taking in account Wakoo nature of Wakoo DEF OS stage
rails are different matter, increasing those (significantly) is more or less just matter of work needed to edit few parts values and confirm everything in vivo
