Wohoo! My first Papa amp is putting out some tunes. Better sonic analysis only after my hype has settled down a bit...😀
Thanks to Mr. Pass for publishing these gems and to Mark Johnson and 6L6 for the guides and instructions.
I attached a few pics of my build. The case and trafo are both from Toroidy.pl. The total cost was approx. 800€ with some extra resistors and other minor parts. I installed the slow start and speaker protection boards too.

Case from toroidy.pl? Their front panels has four screws. How you disappeared it?
Actually it was a pleasant surprise that there were no visible screws on the front. I know the pictures on their website show the screws.Case from toroidy.pl? Their front panels has four screws. How you disappeared it?

Congratulations! Gorgeous build.

I did drill the sinks according to the diyAudio UMS so I'm all set for future endeavors too...😉Very nice build Morde!
So....what are you building next? 😀😀😀
One issue has arisen in a form of hummmm/buzzzz...😡 I'll plug in a scope to the speaker terminals to see is it a 50 or 100Hz disturbance. Or something else.
The first remedy that came to my mind is to move the speaker return wire from amp pcb output ground to PSU board's ground.
I'm not sure if it's a ground loop, since the buzz is there even if I feed the amp via iPhone headphone connector? And I suppose the frequency would be 50Hz and not 100Hz if it were a ground loop.

I just finished my M2x and have little bit hum too. I think that edcors picking power tranny hum. So my next step is to try Mumetal shielding.
I managed to reduce the hum so that it is not audible to my listening position. I tested with temporary wires between L/R input grounds and between L/R speaker grounds and it seemed to do the trick.

Ooh, this is a nice tidy build. COngratulations.
What did you use for output transformers? I've been considering this as a next project, but didn't see a good US source for the edcor transformers in the parts list.
