hi a gain..plz give to me a best and fast speaker protectionVery nice! Love the clear top to show off the DIY. Need some better speakers for such a fine amp.
I'm not crazy about the metal speaker jacks. I used them before and blew the outputs when a misplaced piece of metal fell on them and shorted them.
best regards

hi mr mile...my prroblem about fh11 be solved.with replace 150R with 470R.fh11 is good an stable.
i need a grafic equlizer/tone control with bass booster/fast speaker protection.
please tell wich is best.

You can pick them up on ebay.
From simple dc detection with mechanical relay to solid state relay with dc detect, over current detect and power up/down relay control.
You pay your money and take your choice.
Now I'm working on this😛Fuego, very good looking amp, but have you maybe thought about ventilating holes in the top of the cover ?😉
i like that all componennt be diyYou can pick them up on ebay.

This 150r to 470r stopped the power-on noise? To clarify, you changed R9 from this schematic/board layout? I am having similar issue, but negative DC for about 1-2 secs, pulls the woofer in. Hardly any real noise, but if I can avoid I would like to.

AX14 questions
I obtained some boards from PCBway as per this post https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/sol...mate-fidelity-amplifier-1044.html#post5479358
Has anybody build from this PCB? I have found the matching BOM and started a shopping basket with Mouser.
prasi, I see you were getting components together a while ago, did you complete the build?
Regards PSU, I have a 300VA 30+30 toroid I am intending to use, that suitable (expecting around 100W output).
Its an interesting and lengthy thread but the number of variants has been somewhat confusing!
Thanks, Chris

Yes, the amp is good to go. Few have it built and using. I haven't built it yet, but plan to.
30-0-30 , 300VA is good for 100W at 8 ohm.

i can not kill popup noise.but when replace 150R/R9 with 330R or 370R mje350 and 2n5551's dont be hot....and circuit be stabl.but with 470R sound be very bad...because drivers can't work properly.you use 330R.
i dont know that how kill popup noice...mr mile just can help us.mr mile if you hear me heeeeeeellllpppp us please.

So I decided to go also with APEX AX14
100W Ultimate Fidelity Amplifier
I have just two questions:
1) Where is the latest APEX AX14 PCB layout please?
2) What should be the bias on which resistor I should check mV?
So many posts here, I got totally lost... 😕
And thanks for help!

Prasi have shared gerbers here.
Amazing! Over 1100 pages and you knows! Thanks!
And do you know where I should check mV for bias (or what is it)?

Measure across the 0r33 resistor and you’re looking for ~10mV, which should get you close to 30mA on the outputs. That’s my figure, other may suggest higher or lower, but that a safe bias voltage.

Thanks prasi, will get ordering now.
MilanAudio, I ordered AX14 boards from PCBway and ended up with too many. If you would like I can send you a pair, no cost. PM me.
AX14 minimum voltage
What is the minimum voltage with which AX14 would work fine ?AX14 will work with +/-38V on 4ohms load without any changes.
