Looks like a bargain, around $120. Sorely tempted to get one to play with - what do you think ?

Wow, looks great.
Transformer, enclosure, binding posts, etc are easily worth that much... if it doesn´t sound good after your mods, just put a chipamp in!Posted 4th June 2014 at 12:46 PM by Alexandre

The guy is selling the chassis alone for about 200rmb (that's $33). Here's the link if you'd like more pics to drool over - ÈËÉùÖ®Íõ Hood 1969½ð·â¼×À๦·ÅÕû»ú ×îÍêÃÀ°æ±¾HD1969-ÌÔ±¦Íø

Just tried it again here, works for me. I don't hold out much hope for diagnosing what's up your end, software being what it is....
You could try going to ÌÔ±¦º£ÍâÈ«ÇòÕ¾Ê×Ò³ and type 'hood 1969' into the search box.Posted 5th June 2014 at 02:58 AM by abraxalito

taobao is just bloody brilliant. just wish i could read chinese..... google translate is better than nothing but lack of language really kills the fun of rummaging around looking for a few gems...
nice find tho!Posted 11th June 2014 at 09:02 AM by kasey197 -
I saw the same amp on ebay with English description:
2014 Perfect Hood 1969 Gold Seal Pure Class A Finished Amplifier 10W 110V 220V | eBay
Even if some of the parts and assembly weren't up to scratch and needed fixing it would be a great quick way to get a very tidy JLH1969 setup.
I just made mine so I don't need another though. This would have saved me the fun and challenge of DIYing the heatsink and chassis :-)Posted 18th July 2014 at 02:47 AM by zog666
