I searched the thread but could not find how much current will a pair of these boards consume at 18vdc power if I am providing with Salas PSU boards. I need to set the required CCS on the Salas psu to test these boards out. But I am presuming it may not be more than 100mA but correct if it isn't.
Thanks
Thanks
50mA each, I think...
Thanks Jim, I will take it 100mA for both the boards and as Salas suggested adding another 100mA so total of 200mA for my CCS on BiB psu shunt boards.
There are currently none available.
Waiting for the stereo layout to be tested, then the PCB will be in the store. 😀

Wayne says 25mA per channel in post #153
I am finishing these boards up and working on something for BA 2019 along with my regular work. They should be done soon.
Is there a link to schematic with big output transistors?
There are some small changes other than just transistors?

R11 R12 use 1/2W resistors.
C1 change to 5pF
R23 C4 leave open
Look at the last schematic in the series of slides.
Yes, thank you I observed that also that R11/R12 emitter resistors can be lowered to 15 ohm for higher bias? …..If I go for the larger transistors then why not let them "work hard"? …..if possible without additional heatsink...….or I could get some of the small clip-on heatsinks. I could also just stay with 27 ohm if higher bias is of no benefit such as lower distortion.
Hi Meper,
no heatsinks needed with rails of +/- 18V and 15R resistors for SA1220 / SC2690 or Toshiba TTA004B / TTC004B 🙂

Ok....I may use a little higher rails. I use -+26V on BA-3 pre and there heatsinks are necessary. I should probably do my calculations when I am that far......until now I am in the preparation/thinking phase 🙂
There are currently none available.

Will they be in the Pass Diy store or the here on DIY audio?
Thanks

I am thinking about can I use this preamp for the phono and update the riaa EQ network for the feedback or use two stage with passive RIAA EQ network.
I would like to konw what is the open loop gain for this preamp?
Any comments or suggestion will be great apprecaite.
Best Regards
Xiaojun
