Okay. Some editing done.
Tell me if more needed.
Please look around you, there is a diabetes epidemic in North America, the reason for my repeated posts about it, mostly caused by an excess of the wrong kind of food. Obesity seems to be another common problem.
I am led to believe it is a hot topic for discussion there.
Apologies, keep your food intake enough to match your body needs, do not consume anything in excess.
Like I said earlier, everything does not suit everybody, that goes for salt levels too, you may add 500 mg to your sandwich, I may add a different quantity, as long as we are comfortable, not an issue.
Medication is not like that, not to be done casually at long distance.

Here, the pizza sold on food carts is so bad...
Tomato sauce, mostly with potato and pumpkin added (in the bottle itself), sometimes ginger garlic paste, a little shredded vegetables, and topped with a mixture of cheese, tofu and Paneer (local cottage cheese).
Heated in a small drum like oven.
That is sold as pizza, to people who don't know what it should be like.
It is different, and in a city where people eat at food carts four days a week, it sells.
Some sell 'Chinese' pizza, stir fried vegetables, and chilli and/ or Soya sauces added as topping.

“Enough”
Cal,
I wish you had told me that at lunch. I really ate too much pizza! Did skip dinner, but still too much! 😉

Lemon juice or sherbet works for me if the food is hard to digest, or too spicy.
Half teaspoon sugar, a pinch each common salt and rock salt, one table tennis ball size lemon, or so.
Squeeze the juice in to a glass, add the salt and sugar, then water or soda at your preferred temperature.
Refreshing...
Very good for the effects of heat stroke also.

well the bread machine comitted suicide yesterday. I worked out that it had made around 1200 loaves over the 9 years I have been using it so fairly well amortised. So I had to make a loaf old skool. The results do not bear showing on the forum, but if I turn it on a lathe a bit should be edible...
Drive belt(s) gone? Fixed ours by surgically cutting through the base for access rather than going in from the top😏
nothing mechanical, zero electical power to the control board. Main fuse OK some something further in. I accidentally melted the bottom off it 5 years ago so drive belts accessible 😀 Normally I would try and fault find*, but the panasonic units are internally made of cheese so all the interior metal had rusted through, something my previous kenwood never suffered from. But it does seem to make the sort of loaves I want (and the kids eat). Lazy I know. Replacement paid for by the office for national statistics anyway.
*I am a recovering make do and mender. So I will no longer try and fix something where the replacement is only a tenner if the wife is watching...

Last spring (late) I planted some turmeric and it grew quite well, decided not to harvest last fall because it can take 10 months to mature……glad I didn’t as it’s doubled in size and has probably maxed out the 24“ pot its in, I may try planting outdoors after harvest this fall as it’s said to be hardy in growing zones 8-11 (we’re zone 9)

Read about 'Baingan Bharta', basically the egg plant or Brinjal, called Baingan in North India, is roasted to almost charring on a flame, then cooked as a semi dry gravy dish.
The flame may be a gas stove, or coal, as found in old stoves.
Done properly, it is delicious.
Tone down the spices if you are not used to them.

Had some fat cukes that escaped my picking efforts, already had some big ones put aside for next years seeds so found a cucumber salsa recipe and decided to try it…..tastes promising, will let you know later after it sits in the fridge for a few hours if it’s worthy. Used Serrano’s instead of jalapeño and just cilantro no parsley.
Naresh, Might try that Baingan Bharta when i pick the eggplant….looks good, thanks.

Looks good Cal….I believe I’d have to put one of those airlock in my bunghole with a gallon of that around, I love the stuff but the results are….. well you know!
The cucumber salsa recipe comes highly recommended, it’s was good fresh but after trying it this morning I’d say it’s more rounded in flavor….. I was was worried about texture from sitting but it ends up perfect. The remains won’t make it through the day so not sure on its total lifespan…..if I had to guess 3 days max sealed good in the fridge.
