At least these pictures are better quality. When I first saw your avatar, I was like, "OMG, is that who I think it is!?! 😳"The last pic is
I can only dream of those days Bob. Nice pics my friend even if you had to use a stand in model for them, it's still nice to see the fish.Speaking of fish!
Nice. 70 years on the throne is quite something., here's a cake just finished
C'mon Chris, you can't tell us that model is your son.my son
Might take awhile but I’m fairly sure I’d starve to death with a modeling career! 🤣I can only dream of those days Bob. Nice pics my friend even if you had to use a stand in model for them, it's still nice to see the fish.
Ah c'mon you old smoothie. The guy in the pics is destined for a Cabela's career if I ever saw one.
That’s what his mother tell me, and she’s never lied to me before; well except maybe for the “love you long time” thing.C'mon Chris, you can't tell us that model is your son.
Made turkey breast this evening -- prior to the oven I took 1/4 cup of butter combined with garlic, adobo, cracked pepper and McCormick "grilled chicken spice" -- rubbed under the skin and on top of the skin. Roasted in oven for about 90 minutes at 350F (until internal temp was ~167F) -- after resting 10 minutes the internal temp was 173F. it was the best turkey breast we had ever done!
Ya, my heart bleeds..still tired from fishing all week
Big smiles for you Jack. As long as you get the timing right, breast can be very good.it was the best turkey breast we had ever done!
I reckon I shouldn’t complain about having to eat fish for the 10th day straight either then! 🤐Ya, my heart bleeds.

No. no you shouldn't. Although 10 days straight is more than I think I would like. Any of it get smoked or pickled or even smickled?
Yah, don’t like frozen fish so I’d rather binge eat it fresh……tried to mix it up as best possible, baked, deep fried, grilled, blackened and did smoke some of the Spanish mackerel…..but enough surf it’s time for some turf!
I remember having some sort of pickled fish years ago, surprisingly good…. it was in a sweet light vinegar brine iirc.

Sure there's pickled like herring, and then there's smickle where it's smoked first then pickled in an oil and vinegar marinade with salt, sugar and onion. Kind of a cross between pickled herring and kippers.
I always look forward to the beginning of Lent so I can get Fish Stix and gorge on them with my own Tartar Sauce.Yah, don’t like frozen fish so I’d rather binge eat it fresh……
Lent means anchovies on the pizza, at least my half. Wifey can't stand them!

These tend to be spicy, half a teaspoon is usually enough.
Prawn pickle is also sold.

Went food shopping for the first time in four months today. I spent AU$844.06 which means I've been living on less than AU$53 a week. I'm fairly pleased about that, more spare cash for my hobbies! The pantry, fridge and freezer are full again, which is nice. Buying stuff at the local general store is out of the question, everything costs 3X the price of the supermarkets.
