Think I maybe trying to torque the IPS modules like the head of an engine. 6L6 made a good point, let the start washers do their job. What star washers did you use? Mine have crushed and aren't standing up like that. I probably got cheap'os from Amazon.
Have a tendency to over torque things, have broken my share of screws, standoffs, bolts... if tight is good, one more turn is better 😆.

Finger tight and not more than 1/8 - 1/4 turn more. (With fresh washers, of course…)

Hopefully another M2X breathes soon. For initial test in going to try these 100 watt MWs into Ducati 60uf PP. Maybe a bit out there but we will see how it works
I have a good few of the IP cards in the pipeline. Norwood is high on my agande and apart from 12pf cComp it's ready. IP9, Austin, Tucson are also nearly done. Look forward to hearing it all;

Nice job with the male/female connectors on the main + daughterboards. I do the same with my build. Allows for very quick removal when making subjective assessments.

Thanks Anand . I did wonder if they were worth the hassle but once I'd sorted a system then it started to go well, and the ease with which it will aid swapping in situ will be worth it!

Just remember it’s a journey, we’re fanatics like all others here. I only posted cause I know it tickles MJ’s heart. I recently got a Quantasylum QA403 and also built Jan Didden’s AutoRanger, so I know I’ll have some fun playing with the 200 ohm pot on the Ishikawa board 🤓. It’ll all go in my NPXP which is on the chopping block for some reconstructive surgery 😉.

I'll admit I think I've come to the conclusion that I enjoy the build,/journey as much as the end product! Hence a house full of 'projects'.
Indeed Mark no I won't be doing so. I have some leaded ceramic 10pf here but I thought better if it for the short term and just wait till I have the correct parts

Yes, I plan to add a proper start-up circuit. And to keep the TV-3 switch I salvaged from an old amp.
No, I won't be using wire nuts long term for connecting speakers.
Yes, it sounds great being driven by my AKSA-Lender. Much louder than my MoFo, with all that extra headroom. The MOSFETs measure about 78ºC on the Drain pin (at ambient temperature 24ºC), so the decision to take the hit on a ready-made chassis was a good one.

Tried Muse02. Briefly, found much improved bass and vocals but a subdued treble. Going back to MountainView to test my preferences.

I built the Milpitas IPS9 to compare to the Austin and Norwood. The Norwood bought forward new clarity in both high and low end. The Austin has a very transparent sounds - it just sounds good overall. Then I installed the Milpitas... and Wow, wow. That's the sound I was hoping and listening for. It's worth a listen to give your ears a treat. It's a significant upgrade to the Norwood and makes my entire system come to life IMHO. 😊

I'm about to swap M2x boards back into a chassis/PSU. The amp boards were working properly when they came out some time ago, but still, I'd like to bring them up with a variac just to be safe. I'm assuming it's best to monitor the source resistors and outputs as I bring up PSU voltage. My question is, how many volts on a +/- power inputs does it take to "activate" the M2 circuit?

Yes, I corrected the BOM to reflect the correct C2 part number. I've attached it as a PDF.
I think you'll like the sound - first listen caused me to pause and really take in the overall sound. It's definitely an upgrade to the Norwood as Mark Johnson says in the Circuit notes for the Milpitas.
