4FE35 will do fine in TABAQ.
As we speak, I am listening to Peerless 830987 which has a Qts of 0.94 and Fs 100Hz.
Bjørn
thank you so much, so better Tabaq original or the update?
The one with the adjusted port is the correct one, which I would recommend.
The original drawing has a tuning a few Hz lower than it should according to the sim.

Ready for my first build but concerned about the speaker depth difference between FaitalPro 4FE35-4 and 8Ohm versions could end up with differencies i'am not skilled enough to fix. Any help or suggestions?
I'm sorry, but where did you see that the 4 Ohms version doesn't have the same depth as the 8 Ohms version?
Online, the technical drawings are exactly the same between the two.

Ghiro, so your 8Ohm Faital drivers have 8.5mm more depth than the 4Ohm drivers. That should not be a problem at all - the inside depth of the enclosure is 128mm - plenty of space for your drivers even if you mount them on the inside of the baffle. Go for it, enjoy the build and please share pictures and your impressions.Ready for my first build but concerned about the speaker depth difference between FaitalPro 4FE35-4 and 8Ohm versions could end up with differencies i'am not skilled enough to fix. Actually Ghiro is right here screen shot from Faital official website.
Then, there is a mismatch on FaitalPro's website.
The landing page shows one to be 58mm deep, and the other 49mm
But... If you click on the technical drawings, they are exactly the same size, both at 58.3mm.
I guess I would trust the tech drawings more than the person who copied the data on to the webpage.
The TABAQ design is quite forgiving, and like two cents mentioned, the volume occupied by a 4" driver with a different depth of 8mm will no matter in the overall response.
Yes you got the point Perceval so for Ghiro there is no problem whatsoever even there is a mismatch of data in Faital website that will no affect the performances on the Tabaq.
Can I please have some clarity on the TABAQ port size? In the plan I have the internal dimensions of the box are 12.8cm x 10cm x 80.8cm.
The port is 1.6cm tall x 9cm deep. Is that correct?
I should mention I am using the Faital Pro 4FE32 4" driver and have placed them 26cm from the top end.

TABAQ Port
Hi
The port is 9.7 cm long measured in the middle of the line of the port.
In the original drawing the port is a little too long, which is lowering the tuning. I do not think this is a big deal.
Take a look at the updatet port drawing enclosed.

Thanks Bjorn. I'm still confused as it says the update should be used for the 3" driver. I have 4" drivers.
Also, I have put the holes 26cm from the top and that plan specifies 20.3cm.
Sorry, but I want to be sure.

You can use 4" driver in the original layout, but you should test it with less dense stuffing. Try to reduce the stuffing by one third - but still the upper two third of the line.
What about the Folded version? also change port tuning? speaker it Visaton frs8
I analyzed the drawings and I see that it is already adapted to 3 "with FS above 100 Hz. There was no question.
Yes, you are missing a (notch) filter.
I can't comprehend how people listen to speakers without a filter...
Baffle step etc needs to be compensated
Well, I guess that is just us Germans wanting to do / make things as good as possible.

Hvae you tried one at a time, it could be problems with the phase (change the cables to one of the speakers.)
To much stuffing ? The last one third of the line is not stuffed.

Thanks for your input. I would very much appreciate it if you could talk me through exactly what this means? I've only built full range speakers in the past and haven't looked into filters or crossovers of any kind.
Thanks in advance.
