To load the bootloader you will need a USBTinyISP like this. Buy Products Online from China Wholesalers at Aliexpress.com To load the actual program you will need a USB to serial adapter. CP2102 based adapters work great as long as they have access to the DTR pin to connect to the reset line. Something like this, Buy Products Online from China Wholesalers at Aliexpress.com
A couple of parts were back ordered for the control board. They should be arriving here today (hopefully). The supply chain is a little messed up here due to the Coronavirus issues.
Ok, thanks for replying, in that case I will just have to wait .
Florin
Hi Florin, I will check with Jeff - the parts kit is planned to go from his lab.
RCA connectors, binding posts, and DSO scope are already on the way to you.
I will check if there is some info from the carrier.
Cheers,
Valery
Oops... missed 2 posts above 🙂
Hi Valery, I have received today two RCA connectors, I am not at home but from what my parents have showed me from the whatsapp call it looks like the two RCA connectors have arrived. I should assume that all have been shipped separately? to avoid higher cost with customs at the post office? Any news about the rest?
Thanks,
Florin

Hi Florin,
Right, all the pieces were shipped separately.
The boards, kits, modules, etc. are normally shipped from Jeff's lab in Canada. All the parts like connectors, binding posts, portable oscilloscope devices and kits, peak meters - go directly from the manufacturers in China.
As you mentioned, in some cases, it helps to avoid issues with customs.
All deliveries go slowly these days, however I hope nothing will be lost.
Anyway, please keep us in the loop on receiving the rest of the order.
Cheers,
Valery
I haven't been able to get near my office for a couple weeks due to the Coronavirus pandemic but I'm back this week. I have your order together and am hoping to ship it out today, but shipping is a bit of a mess here.
Hi Valery, the small oscilloscope just arrived so just binding posts and parts kit to follow. Thanks
Very Excited - Just ordered the parts for the kits... Can't wait!!
I've been putting together your parts kits, but I'm out of stock on a couple pieces. I hope to have them ready to ship by the weekend.
I assume you want to run on 240VAC mains? I need to send the appropriate soft start resistors.

No worries, I realise things are a bit difficult with a global pandemic going on, yes 240v is my local flavour.
Hi, just got my notice from the post office that I have a package of about half of kg, probably the parts kit, is it any way to check for the binding posts?
Thanks,
Florin
Thanks,
Florin
Glad to hear your parts kit finally arrived (hopefully). Everything is moving way too slow lately!
It looks like your binding posts made it to customs in your country back in March but haven't moved since. If your country's like most others customs are way behind and some shipping containers just sit unopened. Here's the tracking number. UJ175168458CN

Hi Thanks, could you post the sketch that must be written into the control board please, I will start doing the board tommorow and will be usefull, I only received one of the two small boards that would connect to the controller, the small board with the USB connector without the two ribbon wires that you sugested, that would suffice the get the software written?
Thanks,
Florin
Thanks,
Florin
You will need the USBTinyISP (or an Arduino) to load the bootloader on the Atmega328 before you can program the software. The bootloader is like an operating system for the Arduino environment, without it the Atmega328 is a dumb chip. I'll email you the software.
Hi, I have the usb to serial CP2102 and an Arduino board, so it should be enough as you say. I will try and see how to use these, hopefully I will get it to work, if not I will get back on the forum for some more info.
Thanks.
Thanks.
You will need the USBTinyISP or another Arduino to load the bootloader before you can use the CP2102 to do any programming.
