Rockford Fosgate Punch 601S

Back to this amp .

I replaced every single smd transistor, and diode in the output section . I checked every single resistors in the output section .

Replaced every single opamp .

Amp still does the same thing as soon as I apply remote it likes to burn resistors instantly.R216,217,211,same with the 300 series parts

It burns pretty much every resistor in the output section for both channels .

Anyone know why this amp would do this ?

I’m getting full rail voltage at the points where I’m only supposed to have 17 volts .

I’ve replaced every single smd transistor and diode in the output section checked every resistor and replaced the burnt ones several times replaced all of the opamps

R16 and R25 still burn open .

I don’t know what is causing this issue but getting tired of replacing half the resistors everytime I power the amp up they burn

Ok I replaced all the burned resistors again .

Checked every single resistor, diode and transistor in the output section .

Checked the programming resistors for the regulators all test fine off the board .

Replaced all of the electrolytic capacitors in the output section to rule those out .

Replaced R16,25

Replaced Q11

Is there anything else I should check before I power this amp up again I don’t want it to burn the resistors again since this will be like the 5th time

Ok I just replaced both regulators since they were shorted .

Anything else I should check before powering it up again I just don’t wanna burn the resistors since it a a lot of work to check everything again and replace the resistors when they burn

Also will the IRF3205Z’s work in this amp or should I use the non Z version

No they don’t heat up before the mute delay ends .

Do you have a picture of an 800a2 showing the area of R16 and R25 the 800a2 is the same board same layout .

I just want to confirm these are the correct value resistors since I do not get regulated voltages on the opamps
