On a different note, could anyone point me to the dimensions of the Pearl 3 boards? I'm trying to lay out my "ultimate preamp" in a Pesante 2U case, and the illustration in the build guide makes it look bigger than the entire BA2018 Line Stage I'm using. Thanks.

Could the p3 power-supply be used to power the phono boards AND the BA2018 in a setup like that? Cause I have also been thinking about an all Wayne pre-amp like that. Maybe through my LxMini ACN in there to (anyway to run that off the same power supply?)

Yes, you could run BA2018 and Pearl off Pearl 3 raw PSU. But remember that BA2018 needs to be fed with regulated voltage, so you'll need something to regulate for the BA2018, but that is straightforward.

ACN uses a single voltage, so just use it's wall-wart.

For grins I have assembled on perf board a LM7815 and a Sparcos 7815 3 legged supplies.

Both supplies are operated into a breadboard of the P3 input stage.

The raw supply for both is a TRIAD 18volt DC wall wart. See the attached AP scope and FFT plots.

The LM7815 regulator is much cleaner.

For what it’s worth, the test mule boards lasted 16min.

I'm planning to use Randy's Flex-Reg power supply at +- 18V to supply the BA2018 Linestage, and also feed the Pearls with the +-18V. I think I've got the layout set for the pre-amp project. Now I just need a few more parts and the Pearl 3 kits.
