Pearl 3 Burning Amp 2023

@tonyEE
I'd be very interested in how the delivery goes (i.e. if you get cables or twine...)

They claim it's gonna get here today.

This is the current, at 11AM PST, status. It shows that the package somehow ping'd pong'd from KY (Erlanger) to CA (Mission Viejo) and back... broke the speed of sound or at least managed to be in two places at once: 7:09 AM PST is 10:09 AM EST.

This stupidity has to be intentional. Is someone actively sabotaging their data from the inside?

Are they sure the package didn't leave Erlanger last night at 10:09 PM and someone tagged it as AM?

@grataku: I assure you -- you won't be disappointed. This is "slam dunk" territory. BTW checked again on height and the V7Vs sit below the height of the heatsinks, so it will fit. Feedback and noise with the high output MM will be a test. Look forward to your estimation. Am using the Hana ML and it is a superb MC cartridge only diminished by its price and its 1000 hour lifespan. And your listening assessment of the opamps above indicates you've got a serious ear...
Pictures, colors...

BTW, I just bought a pair of each of them... and I'm looking at a Topping D90LE I just bought used... that one too can be op amp rolled if I install sockets,

This hobby gets expensive fast, huh?

Tony,
exactly! Why don't you ever get shipping problems with Mouser or Digikey orders? I had the same problem with another amazon item we needed for the house. Wife ordered it. Took 2wks instead of 3 days, got lost and then had to be re-sent with 2days UPS.
I think Amazon sellers use the equivalent of flying standby or 'standby shipping' of some type.
You never know where your sht is and often it gets delayed or lost. I avoid amazon like the plague.

I bought my mogami XLR gold intercons from the guitar center. Drove there got them, picked up a couple more things and drove home.

For general info here I computed my cost for the dual psu, simple modushop chassis, amphenol cables and terminations (6 position) and the total was around $750. Frankly it's the best 750 I've spent in audio. Colburn's incredible design is as close to a perfect audio component as I've heard.
Another benefit is that this design is Reviseable by means of retaining the investment in the chassis, the PSU and the connectors. Wayne could issue another pair of, or a bigger single mainboard and it could just plop right into the existing chassis. So the $750 outlay means that in a couple of years, maybe $200 for a new phono board design if it comes. Very appealing!

Got the balanced cable so I hooked up both SE and balanced outputs to an Iron Pre Bal.

The SE and balanced outputs work concurrently, so you can either run it into two preamps or into one with both inputs. With the Iron Pre Bal it's easy to switch from SE to balanced mode, so I might try that as well.

I strongly recommend you wire both the SE and Balanced outputs to the P3. You can then share a single turntable to two parallel systems.. one SE and one Balanced.

Can't say I hear a difference as I just turned it on and it's warming up. The system was already very quiet with a very low noise floor.

After one LP side, it's sounding fantastic, as usual. With the default opamp still.

Oh. Merry Christmas.
