I found what I've been looking for

Here's a place that sells (I guess they sell them) the 15pin-26pin Sharp proprietary vga cable.
http://www.inlineinc.com/products/coax/
Go all the way down to the Adapters and Connectors section and click the IN9XXX series. You will download a .pdf file.
Look at the Sharp section, Part Number IN9052 15pin - 26pin Sharp LCD Panel M-M 12'.

I have just emailed them, asking how to order 1. I hope they will reply.

I have been searching for a cable or adapter for this 26pin connector for hours...hopefully they will sell it.

i have found this card in market at here,it with two end (15\26)
not expensive!
but ,it was made longer ago ,maybe the video memory is 2M,or 1M,not able to play DVD,only VCD.
My friend give up to use this panel for that.

maybe you have other way , buy a hard DVD decode card to get video memory

I got their email, they say it cost $80 for the cable and they only sell through professional audio video dealers. That price is steep.
I went out and bought 15pinD-sub connector, some D-sub male pins...I will make my own QA-1650 computer cable tonight.]

cables for sharp

As I already mentioned to one guy here at the forum, at the end of next week I will be selling the cable 15-26 pin for the sharp 1650, I will also have the nview specta C cable in stock from then on.

I would like to verify with someone here if the the connectors as well as the routing of the wires is the same for the Sharp 1650 and the 2xxx series ?

by the way I think $80 for a cable is ludicrous for diy.

the spectra C cable is $15 and the Sharp is $20 ...
I have a store on ebay and they will go up there as well, but they will be $5 more. showing the forum that i am loyal to the guys that are on here!
I hope i do not offend anyone by posting this here. You can all reach me through my email address. anyway i am a vivid participant of the DIY Video And audio forum

it works

Thanks to Braxton, I finally did the cable for Sharp qa-1650, it works, no problems. But I can't read small fonts on the LCD screen or my projector screen. Resolution set at 640X480@60hz, seem like this cable is only good for watching movies played on computer...That's fine with me.😀

Screw that $80 Inline cable. I spent only $3.50.

Cables, pinouts etc. for QA-2500

Hey guys,

If anyone can help me out with cables & pinouts for a Sharp QA-2500, it would be greatly appreciated. I need cables for the computer and I have to make a power supply (unless someone wants to start making those as well). 😕

Thanks,

Dave

Need cable - Sharp QA 1500 LCD PROJECTION PANEL

Hello, if anyone can make me a cable that will connect
my computer to my Sharp 1500 LCD panel I'll be happy to pay you $. My computer is IBM compatible. The cable needs to be the 15 pin male connector (computer) to 26 pin male connetor (Panel). If you have the Skillz to make me one that would be great! (Please shoot me an email a.s.a.p.)

Please help, TheFly

P.S. Anyone get a cable from Uvodee?
Does he have an ebay store?

Thanks thefly!!!!(i have 1500 and wasn't sure)

THanks for adding that to this thread, as I have a 1500 on the way, and need to make cable also, hopefully I can change video source without the remote control(another post said shift up arrow, and shift down arrow toggles between pc and rca mode.

Sharp QA 1500 cable ????

Hello uvodee, are you out there?
Haven't heard from you lately? Does anyone know if there is a difference conncting a computer to a Sharp LCD panel useing a
15pin to 26 pin data cable (VGA) or a S-video cable? I haved tryed the S-video cable from my vedio card on my PC to the panel and the picture is very bad. If I use a (VGA) cable will that bring up more menu options on my panel for better adjustment? I haven't got a cable yet to test panel, but should have one soon. The VCR, TV, and DVD picture quality are outstanding useing the S-video with the sharp QA -1500. The picture from my computer stinks! I wonder if the cable will make a difference? If anyone has any cable ideas please let me know.

Thanks, TheFly

Making my own cable...

I'm going to make one of these cables from a 15 pin to a 26 pin using the pinouts posted here...

Anybody know if this will be successful on my Magnabyte? (It has the 26 pin connector obviously...)

Also, what grade of wire should I use for this? I dont' want to get wire too small or too big...

Thanks!
