Hello Brandon. Could you indicate the latest version of the CNC file 4 inch for SB26 in millimeters without PS?
I'm travelling for work, so I can't get to that now. I would think any software that works with .stl's should be able to change the units though.
You can open it in for example CloudCompare, and then multiple all the dimensions by 25,4. This would give you everything in milimeters.Hello Brandon. Could you indicate the latest version of the CNC file 4 inch for SB26 in millimeters without PS?
Many thanks for this wonderful work !
I did not found how to mount the waveguide on the tweeter?
Is it supposed to be glued after removing the faceplate ?
Or is there a stl file somewhere with a standard adapter piece ?

What version of the SB21 or SB26 work best?
All the SB21 results are with the SB21SDC-C000-4. The SB26ADC and SB26CDC behave similarly, the fabric dome has it's own behavior that is not as smooth as the metal domes.

All the prints have two screw holes 4" apart. I printed a little bar to clamp them, but you could use wood just easily. Also used some foam rubber between the clamp and tweeter.

Did anyone else "find" these cracks when they "sliced" up the SB Acoustics SB21 5" waveguide for printing?

bits in yellow and then circled in red?
Thank you,

I found why it does that, looking at my other guides I can see it in them too. I think that software visually exaggerates the issue since they've all printed fine. I'll work through them and re-upload when I get the chance, working out of town makes it difficult right now. Are you paying to have it printed? If not I would just try printing it as is, worked fine for me.

Yes, I am paying to have them printed.
Please post an update when you are back in town and have made any changes.
Thank you,
David.
Amazing work augerpro and all other involved 🙂 really valuable to DIY community
When going the CNC route, how do you end up with the screw holes on the back, is the piece flipped over after the waveguide has been milled?

You'll have to work with the CNC operator to decide what to do there. It will probably be a separate operation.
Brandon,
did you ever do any work towards a waveguide for the DA25TX, or have any thoughts on which of the existing guides might be worth trying?

I have a batch of .75" Infinity CMMD dome tweeters, which is very close to what Revel was using before switching to beryllium. I don't have time right now but in the near future I'm very interested in using these waveguides, or some modification with them.

With the other problem you found on your software (related to this I think), I'm starting to think your slicer might be the issue? No else has had these issues (that I know about) and they *should* have given the issue was in all my designs. Which I am correcting just in case, but it would be nice to know if this is widespread, or just a result of your software/settings.
