You know that direct cable soldering isn´t recommended?!
But, ok, noticed.
I will collect all wishes or ideas until Wednesday.

Is the magnetic shield diy or something you can buy?You know that direct cable soldering isn´t recommended?!

Very nice addition
McMaster-Carr will sell you sheet pieces of mu metal of different size and
thickness, even w/ adhesive.

What thickness would you suggest we use?

I'm considering 0.010", only for the reason of structural integrity, ie holding shape after folding
Grand malheur!
My system consisting in a new LENOVO thinkpad workstation ($$$$) crashed yesterday with the simple message "boot sector"... I´m very very angry but it´s no use meaning.
Disk image and system recovery done. I´ve to reinstall a lot of software and a lot of libraries. I´m thinking to be again operational end of the week.
The COTS shielding is from TEKO (see previous post).

Thanks for your efforts!

Every part justifies itself by making it work. …….
This used the Fairchild output devices and pot location assumes that P
channel Vgs is slightly higher than N. You can use other devices.

is this the right combination of N and P channel Nelson suggested…..?

I have F6 with SSR100 and am very satisfied and enjoying this amp - thank you so much Nelson!
F6 had all N channel JFETS output and an all JFET amp.
As I understand M2 used very different biasing scheme and complementary Mosfet output. M2 seems an older brother of F6. Isn't F6 product of all great stuff of M2? I ask becoz I also want to build M2 so my question is - can M2 beat the F6?

different flavors of same thing , there is no actual fight between them
in other words - they're different and same

Zen Mod,
Yes but for ordinary "end-user" diyer like me - there's only 1 reference amp.
Sure I'll still build M2 though.

What the amp is connected to will certainly play a huge role in judging which amp might be best. Definitely no straight forward answer.

point is - you'll like them both

What I understand is that in M2 the transformer is doing all the gain. And in F6 the Mosfets (or Power JFETs) are.
Also F6 has feedback and M2 doesn't.
