New Markaudio MA200 8" Driver

FWIW, ~25 yrs of UL/CSA testing = proper crimping, which is too expensive for casual DIYing, so 2nd best is crimp on a spade to the driver to make permanent wire leads long enough to either do a proper crimp or at least to a UL/CSA clamping terminal strip or whatever the local codes mandate.

I have used xt60 connectors previously to make my drivers removable from cabinets. The wire still soldered properly to the drivers themselves, but internally I’ve used XT60 connector to make the drivers removable.

They handle 60amp, they are gold plated and spring loaded. Very very firm connections. They are used in motorsports, FPV drones and many other applications.

Of course the very best are virgin conductive elves, to be mated with driver and wire during a ritual at summer solstice. Obviously, get consent before you insert the wires. With the added benefit that they fly, so keep the wires off the ground. And their flapping wings cool the wire, so resistance is constant!

I have soldered, crimped, crocodile clamped and screwed connections. They're at least all sufficient for my level of ambition.

Pre-orders are now available in Japan.
The price is 47,234 Japanese Yen (628 USD) for the pair.
I ordered as soon as possible, but they will be in stock in about 10 days.

An excellent review -although what the prognosticating pelicans mean when they say 'Xmax 9mm 1-way, linear travel unstated' (I paraphrase) is a bit mysterious, since the definition of Xmax is 'linear travel' 😉 (even though that's a slightly nebulous concept). Just to confirm: that 9mm 1-way Xmax is what it says on the tin -it's not Xmech.

The box would need to be redesigned to account for the additional sub-chamber for the mid-tweeter, and the crossover would need changing since the drivers and baffle diffraction / bass responses have also changed. Basically, it's a complete new design. Not impossible of course, but unfortunately I haven't got one like that in the works at the moment since I don't have a pair of CHN-50P here.
