The 500L boards still sound awesome, big improvement on my system. More spacius and detailed, absolut recomended. Only reason for buying the R2 is for bass amp.

I tried the dualpowersuplly on my 500L boards and its absolutely wort the mo ey in uppgrade with dual supply.

By dual power supply, you mean to power the input and output stages with different supplies?
Putting togheter a low budget 500R2 dual mono.
Used enclosure, used 500R2 and used toroids from Thule PA200 monoblocks
2 x 500VA 2x45 volt.
12 pc 10000uF 80volt Roe for each channel.
Soft start modules from Jims Audio.
Geofei binding posts.
Neutrik Gold xlr.
Cheap iec w switch and fuse.
Al ac is 2.5kv solid core cooper.
MIT speaker cable.
