A. what is the little mechanical lifter for the tone arm called?
B. where can i purchase one/or are there simple designs to make one?

I use jelco jl-45 lifting device and I think it is not a problem to buy it on eBay

Dumb question. Is it possible to ground a carbon fibre tone arm tube (for screening).
Specifically, roll wrapped tube.
