I've just sold the horn setup that I have shown in this thread earlier, so the plans have been kick re-started as of lately. Some more engineering have been done in the midbass section over the last days, with the final details and simulation being finished tomorrow.
I have also ordered the drivers for the horns:
Precision Devices 12MH25

What kind ?
I have never seen anything quite like that !
What brand are they? To be used over what range ?

New tweeters on the way, as well. 48.5 pounds each!

Hi Jason.
The are ALE Acoustic Lab 1750. To be used above 6k, best 8k or more.
that has to be the most massive tweeter in the world. lol

What advantage does it have over the previous ALE tweeter you were using?
More mag power, higher efficiency and I also ordered them with Beryllium diaphragms for better overall response. A friend of mine has them in his system and the difference is surprisingly big.

Some temporary providers of sweet music. Coral Beta 8. Sound amazing, kind of blown away by the clarity. Crossing over to the SLOBS at 80Hz at the moment, 24db\octave.
Awsome. It gives me the envy to put my white bathtub in the living room.
What is the FHz range covered by the mid-bass white horn please ? it's a 15" ?

Playing with some near field listening. Some adjustments made in the DSP to balance the sound...this is awesome!

Getting closer...
Crazy suggestion but...
Have you ever tried putting any sound absortion (eg. rug or divider or something) on the back wall between your speakers or even between them. It deadens the first reflections. I notice you enjoyed your nearfield listening and moving the speakers forward probably added some of the same affect as the sound absortion.
Your journey looks like a fun one.
Best wishes.

Hi Pilover2000,
I have not tried any sound absorption on the back wall. Horns do not really throw any sound in this direction directly, so I have concentrated on more important reflections instead:
(sorry for the bad quality)

A simple test for you to try. Go stand behind your speakers. If there is no sound there is no reflection.
Walking around a room tells you a lot. (pretty unscientific if you ask me).
