You are absolutely right. I thought you were were referring to my current icepower amp, the 50asx2se compared to the 50asx2btl. I got the model numbers mixed up. My bad.
The model you mentioned(125asx2SE) is not available here in the states at the moment(Parts express), and Parts express makes no mention of it in their product lineup. I hope it's not being discontinued.

B&O stock has lost 75% of it's value from it's 2018 peak. Desperation may be one of the reasons why they started selling amplifier modules directly to the public. Chip amps are getting better and better and cheaper and cheaper.

Midrange CSD, 200hz to 2khz on CLD baffle with High density felt interior. Looks more like a tweeter response than a mid.

The whole system is active with five channels of amplification per stereo side. Not a capacitor or inductor in sight(Or out of site for that matter), so yes, each tweeter and mid do have their own amplifier. I wouldn't have it any other way🙂

I've owned these electronics for for 10 years now(Save for the ICEpower amps, which I've had for a year) and have never(Luckily) had a turn on or off thump. They all definitely have very good protections already built in.

This may seem an odd question, but do you find that they sound as loud far away as they do close up; it's just my box in a box speakers seem to have this effect, something I wasn't expecting. I'm guessing ( if this effect is real ) that with normal 'speakers you hear mostly sound from the front of the cone when you are close, but when further away you hear far more of the sound from the cabinet bouncing of the walls, muddying the sound, making it seem quieter than it actually is. with greatly reduced sound transition to the cabinet, even far away you only hear very clear sound from the front of the cone, so it still sounds almost as loud.
 
Yes, I guess I do, but I never really paid that much attention to that aspect.
On another note, I decided to pull my 35 year old Conrad Johnson MV50 tube amp out of storage and hooked it up to my mids to see if it would still work. Not only does it work, but it works perfectly! 50 watts into 8 ohms. For the midrange, it totally smokes the ICEpower amplifier(twice the output wattage of the icepower amp)Stunning reproduction of vocals, paired with the CLD baffle/ high density felt interior midrange driver. Total eargasm!! Yippee!!🙂

it's one of those questions that can be theorized about, but the loudspeaker/room/listener interface is so unbelievably complex...

Measurements taken on midrange/tweeter axis 90db/1m, with no EQ

Taken at the same distance with a lower noise floor. Note the second order harmonic from the tube amp between 500 and 1.3khz. Still low in absolute terms, but higher than from the transistor based amps above and below that point. A good example of how a tube amplifier's 2nd order distortion is expressed through an actual loudspeaker driver..

I'm trying a different aproach with the stuffing. The high density synthetic felt seems to actually be resonating at around 500hz in the cabinet, which is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to avoid, so it's all coming out and being replaced with wool "dryer balls", which are amazingly inexpensive for what they are, and can be packed in tightly. I wish I thought of this sooner, but only found out about wool dryer balls after recently getting them for a gift. Each is about the size of a tennis ball. Wool has a very even absorption coefficient..

That is a really cool idea! I will try that too. I can totally see it working! Haha! Different types that would have a different effect, I'm sure. There are super dense 1000 sheet per roll types, and super loosely rolled types, and if there's another toilet paper shortage, I'll no where to look if we need some🙂
