dual 30Vac is too high for any of the National chipamps.
I know!! it is for this i need a variable psu!
Thanks!
your chipamp does not need a variable PSU.
Just buy the correct transformer to suit the speaker load you intend to attach.

Mr. Mile has a regulated psu somewhere posted.
But I do not know if it can regulate down to 28v from 40 odd volts.

Prasi
Edit . Here it is Studio Reference Amplifier
Mr. Mile can only say if it can work for 28v and what changes needed.

Rgulated PSU can be use for 28V but zener diode 20V must be replaced with 5,6V zener.
Have u tried original apex gainclone ver.1?+/-28V for 4 ohm and you can go upto +/-35V for 8ohm.

Please tell me how was your experience?
I want to use 25-0-25 CT trafo.
Need any changes? Plz reply. Regards.

Apex ver 1.0 is very nice, so is apex super gain clone.
Dear Mr. Mile, please be reminded that I am still awaiting for Your answer:
Dear Mr. Mile (and other members),
I have seen a lot of designs of LM3886/3875 but there are two opinions - one claims that these "Chipamps" are "rugged" and safe to use without speaker DC protection circuit. Mr. Mile loves rugged designs and always (99%) uses DC protection in his designs, but in this design I do not see it. Why?
Other claims that it should be used without compromises.
What is Your opinion/experience?
It's very unique i think. Without output inductor!Apex ver 1.0 is very nice, so is apex super gain clone.
Thnks buddy. Have a good day.

You could use LM338 voltage regulators to bring it down to +-35VDC. These regulators work well and are inexpensive. They also save money by using less capacitors. I have personally used the design (snubberized version at bottom of page) at Building an LM3886 Gainclone chip amp with a regulated power supply (PSU).. It works very well for chipamp power supply and is easy to build. Don't try to drop more than 7 volts or the IC will get hot.
Hello csom...plz help me.I bought some components yesterday.
Is the size of the heatsink ( 6 cm X 17cm) okay to mount two LM3886 ICs for proper heat dissipation?
Best regards,
Som
Where i can get audio grade capacitors in kolkata?
& plz share your Facebook id detail...so i can find you if needed.
Forgive me for my poor English 😁

Thanks Mr. Mile.
Here are the schematic, stuffing guide, pdf's and gerbers for anyone willing to try🙂.

Hi Prasi, for the final PCB that you tested, would you mind sharing the gerbers and stuffing guide/schematic? Thank you for considering. Finally PCB's came.
i have components procured too, from a local store here. i plan to use TL072 instead of OPA2134 as they are not available here.
ready to ship out, those who have booked, pl pm me with name, country, paypal, shipping address, postal code.

Hi,
sure , here they are.
All the best for your build.
I also have a single sided version(untested), if you are interested, posted previously.

Prasi, thank you so much!! I placed the order already--right away! So excited. Please ignore my PM then, thank you so much once again. Please bear with me as I will ask more questions regarding components and layout later on.
Hi Prasi,
Enta vishesham?
I'm interested in the single side SGC (untested ) layout if you still have. I'm trying to get a Cordell amp up. I've also posted a possible design asking for advice, it includes the Klever Klipper!
Thanks!

Hello Mexmike,
you know some Indians? Nice... That phrase is spoken somewhat further south from where I live, although I understand it.
The single sided SGC is posted in post # 245 LM3886 Schematics + PCB
I have posted both gerbers and pdfs. I dont have the boards myself.
You could etch them yourself with pdfs or simply order the boards from pcbway.
All the best for your build.
