L12-2 CFP Output amp 120W*2 8R

I have both: low-distortion DAC and ADC, so paying an additional $2k isn't so reasonable. From my point of view at least. When I'm talking about low-distortion DAC, I mean SMSL SU-10. Yulong mentioned above, is used for minor tests, but it still isn't bad at all.

Look at the pricing for an AP or Keysight U8903B (> $30 K). There are others out there.

$2K was cheap, that was the advance price, it was $4K. Even a ShibaSoku THD meter is up in that range - used. An HP 339A isn't cheap either, 20dB higher residual than the ShibaSoku.

At any rate, just use what you need and be aware of its limitations. If your equipment is good enough, then it is good enough. The entire question of what is reasonable depends on what you need and the market prices.

Just measured V5 boards. Used the same PSU and load that was used to test V4. V5 is unstable trash. Sine wave distorted by added HF ripple at 26-28V RMS output to 8R load. So just avoid buying it.
I'm truly sorry. Can you take some pictures for me. Send me the email.
That's true. I found that there is a quality issue with the TO 220F power transistors supplied by the L12-2 VER5 driver transistor supplier.
A small portion. Later, I changed the supplier. I need their pictures for confirmation. You can send replacement TO 220F transistors for free.
It can change its performance. ljm_ljm@foxmail.com

In fact, this is a common difficulty encountered in China.
My experience is to purchase products produced in China. Almost cheaper than any country in the world.
But there is a high probability. More than 70% will encounter various problems.
Excluding world-renowned brands. Excluding high-end products.
Moreover, it is often difficult to identify problems. Especially some new models. Use new components.
I discovered the problem a week ago. And all corrections are intact.
Mainly checking 2SA1837, 2SC 4793. Transistors located near the direction of power transistor NJW 0302, 0281
If it is an OSER trademark, there may be issues. If it is a JJAG trademark, there is no problem.
If you discover any problems while using it yourself. It can also be solved by changing to other brands. For example, KEC TOSHIBA or other brands.
Other models can also be used as substitutes. For example, KTB 1369, D 2061, Or A 1930 C 5171.
It's quite simple.

Now, we know that LJM knows that there is a serious issue with his product.
My question is:
Will he continue selling his faulty product?
(Though, I must admit, this is purely rhethoric question)

My question wasn't whether LJM wants to continue selling (he will) - it was a question to his customers and the answer is: YES. As long as people expect a High-End amplifier for the price of a (fast-food) breakfast, there will be demand. Even though the quality is questionable. This is a feature of human reason: one wants to believe in the impossible, if it is cheap enough.
This product will be sold and purchased, because it is cheap enough.
