It looks like the krill amplifier is a winner for all the intents and purposes.
I've been thinking in building it but I lack the layout of the 100 W version and no matter how hard I search on both threads I can't find it.
Any of the good souls who write on these threads could point me out
with a link or else to where this layout was published?
I'd appreciate.

Are you looking for the current schematic or the PWB layout? Phil should be back Monday if his sweetie (I think I got that right this time Jennifer!) has left him with anything that resembles physical ability and should be able to answer specific questions. Steve D might check in too. If not then I might be able to help out - let me know. ;)

Krill frontend.....
Jfet based kind of folded cascode....Mainly 2.d order distortion and vanishing low higher order..dist....

I belive this to be a possible upgrade from the standard krill...
And my take of a nice frontend...

Rotates phase 180 deg...so speakerterminals must be switched...

Have added the krill output to my folded front end...
taking feedback from the output, gives it extremely low distortin fugures...0.004 %....omitting the output stage more moderate of app 0.2 % but still with good distribution and mainly 2 . and
3 order products...
I have trouble figuring out where to place 0. point ajustments for the outputstage...

Have used the thermal track transistors.. and added extra sets...using 5 diodes in the string.. but I belive 4 is better to have a more optimal thermal compensation...Testing Will show..!!!

Andrew

You are right there....again...!!

Tried to look a little at the currents through the outputs during operation...The output transistors keeps conducting through the whole cycle...they go down to app 15 mA..but never shuts completly off....All happens nice and rounded...This corresponds closely to the ocilloscpope shots previously shown....

I do belive that this could be a tremendous performer..

I take you mentioned where you got your idea...??? I mean I post in the krill forum...and to me this is just part of the developments...all people that write in the forum contrubutes and I pretty much suspekt that the final outcome of this could be a very good amplifier....

Here theres a new iteration with som changes in the initial part of the outputstage....

This also seems to work very well...maintains very low distortion at 20 KHz +-35 V output into 8 Ohm.....0.003%....also maintains good distribution...

cheers...
