All the extra parts I have are now spoken for. I got locked out of responding to messages but I will try to follow up with everyone when I can.I recognize this is hardly worth the bother to the others building the Iron Pre kits however, I bought a few extra Fujitsu Takamisawa RY-24W-K relays (from Surplus Electronics) and CK1060 rotary switches (from Newark) as a sort of impulsive reaction to having to pay shipping from so many different suppliers. But I really don't need to stockpile more stuff.
If there are a few folks in the US who would like to buy a rotary switch and some relays, message me. I would just charge exactly what I payed ($1.50 per switch and $2.50 per relay) plus First Class Mail. You will save ~$16 on shipping compared to buying them directly.
Had a wonderful visit with GianLuca today and was happy to see this waiting to be shipped to a new lucky customer…

So just wondering is this something I can order from the DIY audio store? I'm not seeing it if it is??
Well it looks like the timing on diyAudio Store kit and chassis availability is "TBD" if I'm understanding the post #1 updates correctly.
Yup!

I couldn't resist - it's playing music...
Listen to some songs - although slightly tired. But as Zen Mod always says: sleep is overrated!
Super easy to adjust voltages and DC-offset before CINEMAGS.
Thanks, Zen Mod!
Good night
Dirk

Moooorning!
It was really so easy to adjust the DC-offset to 0.0mV (millivolts!) - nothing!
I put the Iron Pre this morning together with my 6-24 active crossover and the BA-3 poweramp (bass-mid) and the F5 for the highs.
Speakers are active 2-way with ScanSpeak Bass-Mid-woofers and an ATM (air-motion-transformer).
As short as I am listening - I can immediately say that Zen Mod did an excellent job!
If I listen to acoustic music, especially with stringinstruments (guitar) or to a piano (which is in my opinion often a challenge for amps),
the Iron Pre plays very exact and detailed. No harshness. High tones from a piano sound like a piano.
If a string swings out long like from a long guitar tone - great!
Room information in the music is also on a very high level.
ZenMod - you did an excellent job!
My Iron Pre will get a nice 'house'. I am thinking about a nice case.
I wish you will have so much fun building this preamp like I had the last few days!
Wish you all a relaxed weekend with good music
Dirk 😉

Regarding the glowing SQ reviews... Question- "What is the best VAS transistor?" Answer- "A transformer..." I forget who said it.. Reason I'm always trying to keep one somewhere in my signal chain these days..
