But like you said we already know that there is 270 across the el509. With the primary of the 165 or so ohm ...dropping around 25V and the cathode resistor probably also around that maybe more...the b+ should be around 330-340.
Are you using the 6e5p as a triode?Even though a simple 6e5p with ccs and using the mu output would likely suffice.
Beware if you don't connect the G1 to C it will not be a true triode at all (if you drive G2 that is).
Did you test the bias settings in this "triode" mode ?
It could be just above 0V DC maybe even 10 to 20V above depending on the B+ voltage and tubes used.

Looks nice already...
I have build several triode stripped amps (G1 on C) so i have some experience with the bias settings.
Sometime i modify amps to triode operation on request.

And with the 6e5p? I read somewhere it is harder than average to bias properly. Someone wrote its better to feed the heaters with DC... For some reason.Looks nice already...

Not the preamp tube...only the power pentode (EL509). I guess you also could do this but you will need a low impedant source to drive it...
Depends on the lighting, but I gotta say I love your color choices. The transformers remind me of really old British motorcycles' style.
All good fortune,
Chris

Thanks Chris.
Rather serendipitous the colour scheme. I bought the copper greenish from a 2nd hand store. Would never have bought it otherwise. Then also started thinking about whiter colours because of dust visible on black.

- How would you drive an EL509 in enhanced triode mode.
