One more remark :
The SMD version is designed for current output DACs with +/-1mA output signal.
Maximum +/-2mA, but the filter component values need to be modified accordingly.
Standard component set is for 1mA, which I think will suit most users.
If you wish to use DACs with signal current > 2mA (to 6mA max), you should use the through hole version instead.
Not too late to change if necessary,
Patrick

I’m using Miro’s 1862 dac , psu1 , lm6171 opamps and jlsounds
Will this work with the smd version?
Thanks

You wil have to use seperate 15V power line or adjust resistors to be powered from the DAC 12V line.I’m using Miro’s 1862 dac , psu1 , lm6171 opamps and jlsounds

A lot of these informations are in the PDF article.

Day and night difference is a subjective measure that no one else can answer but yourself.
Fran already explained in detail what PSU he has used for his audition.
The circuit will work with 12V by hanging some resistor values.
But if you wish to have the better performance, then we still recommend you use 15V rails.
And also separate supply for left and right channel, for best channel separation.

Hey, just a quick update I already ordered and received most of the parts from mouser and digikey but was waiting for chips from HK. And finally they are here, so now in the next few days I will start matching all transistors... Will keep you posted with updates on how things are progressing...
No, I am half way into measuring transistors... I will definitely inform you all before I start sending packages...
