Thanks Peter but I do not speak polish...otherwise I would have ordered the longest ribbon....say 40/50 cm or longer
I have contacted loads of dutch shops...they all confirmed they had them in the past but carry them no longer...
Hayenc I will check out which one I will need maybe I can order
although I hate e-bay to many bad experiences..
What means pitch or better do I need 1.00 mm or 1.25 mm
16 pins
Anyway thanks both in advance...

Pitch is spacing between contacts. Not easy to measure directly, but count how many are in a cm or larger dimension and then divide.
Pitch is 1 mm, pins are 18, not 16. I've ordered from Digikey some sockets, they might have longer ribbons as well.
For anyone how is interested.

Well, I’d describe the new sound as natural and “musical”/”voiced”, perhaps the best from my clone in these aspects, which are most important for me. Now when listening I do not think about bass, midds, highs, other things, there is no reason for that. As usually the best impression of naturalness can be heard on classical chamber music.
You can easily do similar exercise by supplying of LC/LA at PCB with 5V reg and small 9V battery (will be enough for a few hours of playing), by leaving the motors on 8V PSU. Just try, this costs nothing.
Very good brqds...😎
Yesterday I made a proper ribbon out of 3 ribbons in order to get a decent length with 1 mm pitch and 18 pins...(very difficult to order)....say 30 cm ++
Maybe a bit over the top clamping it with ebony but it works like a charm...you have to use 3 ribbons in order not to get inverted...

Thanks for the compliments...the final stage is there and I will try to post a foto sequence of the last steps...building it in the PiTbull
I still have to do preparations to stay ahead of the electronics...this is quite a logistic challenge...

Found this - not sure if they actually have them or not though.
Nice find, I ordered one yesterday, figuring they would email me telling me they don't have any, but they just sent me a tracking # 🙂
