F4 power amplifier

Actually - wouldn't this be the case :clown:

Let's boogy.

If you drive your car on a bumpy road, the spring and shock in the wheel suspension will try to keep the tire on the road while the car itself does not move in a vertical direction.
At the same time, the tire itself is a spring.
If your springs are worn out, and you drive on a rotten stretch, the tire spring system and the real suspension spring can be totally out of phase.
Suppose the spring stiffness of the tire equals that of the real spring, then the wheel suspension excursion will be twice as large compared to running without springs.
Run with flat tires and the wheel suspension will make a reduced sine like motion, run without springs and the suspension motion will be the same.

How about balanced bridged ?

If the rotten stretch is the input signal, then the tire is the input stage and the suspension is the output stage. Will that make the driver the overall feedback? The passenger the listener? Don't forget, the backseat driver is the local feedback...?

LAMSON EBONY 5/8" BALANCED BRIDGE FOR 5 STRING BANJO
An exciting new addition to the banjo world!! Wayne Lamson has designed a new bridge that offers balanced volume, projection and tone from string to string. Each string sits directly over a circular hole that directs the vibration of the string through the same amount of wood and over the same distance on the way to the banjo head. This gives each string the same volume and sustain. The base of the bridge is also supported which aids in preventing sagging of the bridge and adding to the tonal projection.

here's the post from Mr. Choky about hooking your BOSOZ or Pumpkin
up in many twisted ways...like balanced and unbalanced at the same time.. It was on the punkin' thread.. the topic went on for a while so check out other posts in that area..

here is his "clever" mini-F4 which he created by leaving off most of the output MOSFETS.

So those IRF P150's would make a cool instant aleph 3 - just get the miniAleph boards, use two 250's instead of four 240's and jack up the voltage no matching-no auxiliary boards or wires-done..

his tube pre is VERY simple and probably quite cheap

Relatively simple and relatively cheap. I should have my article on it done in the next couple weeks- I still have some more measurements to do in the single-ended mode. If someone wants to volunteer to do a PCB design (I am absolutely incapable of doing that competently), email me.

Just for giggles, I turned my tube amp into a unity gain power amp. There's some real merit in that concept.
