Just received my Toroidy transformer. I am a compete newbie here. I've asked a friend, but I'd like to confirm with you guys please. As you can see, secondaries are Red-Red, Brown-Brown.
So does red-red go to one bridge rectifier and brown-brown to the other rectifier?
Also, as this is 230v, UK voltage. Do I have one CL-60 on the live-neutral connector and x1 cap across the two white transformer inputs? I know this should be obvious, but want to double/triple check.

That's brilliant, thank you very much! I always thought the safety capacitor went on the transformer side.. And the CL-60 on the switch side. But I'll follow your pictures, thanks again!
To be sure, notice that CL-60 does not go across the live and neutral (as capacitor does), it goes on the live wire.
The safety capacitor should be placed right after the iec, the masters said (not too long ago). I put it right at the IEC‘s connector-blades...
Does anyone know the CX, CS, and RS values when using an Antek AS-3218 transformer? Would greatly appreciate this info.

It's on about page 5 of the quasimodo results thread, Off the top of my head, I think it says 10-12 ohm resistor with .01/.15 mf.
If Building an Aleph J with a 400va 18v transformer and 15Kuf 63v caps, can I use the Mur3020 diodes in the bridge section of the DiyAudio universal power supply?
I ask because I have them and heatsinks on hand.

I have studied the Quasimodo results and while the cap values are fairly consistent, the RS value is a very wide range anywhere from 8-19ohm !
I was wondering if over time the group had settled on a value ?

The cap values are consistent as they stay the same, only the resistor is adjusted to the specific model transformer.
Agreed , but for the Antek AN4218(which I have ) there are a few different resistor values throughout the thread
