If it's of any help I used ss9014 in ltp and as sources and mirror I used ksa1015, ksc1815 and 2n5551, vas - 2sa1209s/2sc2911s. 2sa1930/sc5171 as drivers and mg6331/9411 as outputs. The latter ones are not available any more so my preferred choice would be njw1302/3281.

cheers,

Thanks janusz, i just try to find if a 60Mhz bandwidth of the output bjt will be a stability problem.

DIYAB HoneyBadger Amplifer

Recently finished the HoneyBadger it sounds great much better than my old SpeakerCraft amplifier. It includes my custom designed protection circuit that disconnects the power from the amps with some FET's if it detects DC on the output or any overvoltage, it also has a soft-start circuit.

The Honey Badger can be built for different speaker loads.

My speakers will be 6 ohms as well, and I built mine basically to the build guide specs with the larger MJL devices for outputs.

I guess you can work your amplifier with 6 ohm loads instead of 8, all you have to do is do not load it to the maximum and keeping the volume control up to half will not load the amplifier more than necessary.

Cheers and happy listening🙂
