DIYA store "Wolverine" (Son of Badger) .... suggestions ??

Hi OS,

I believe that the PCB is now ready. :)

I have been checking it for most of the day.
I have reviewed everything including the BOM that

Juan kindly created.:D
I found a few small thing which I fixed and I also found this

Please see the attached image.
D8 was not actually drawn in, it was only the option R5.
So I updated it to make D8 the primary component and R5 the option.
Also OS what is the value you wish to assign to R5 if it was to be used.
I used a * to indicate that R5 and D3 are options.
Please also look at the silkscreen. Has anything been missed?

Can someone else please review this sprint layout BOM and provide any feedback before the final version is posted.

good idea ST for D5 and * value for R5 the file that ST have now also I did the

tiny adjustments on the pitch of power output transistors yesterday to 5.45mm the holes are 1.70 mm so is fine, Q10,Q11,Q13,Q101,Q102,Q105,Q106 = 2.30 mm pitch and Q104,Q103 = 2.54mm

who did C109 look a lot better yes :)

all trim-pots too 2.54mm too

OS tweaked C109. He did a great job.

Input loop area.

Yes , spooky has less of a loop. That is just chance from the spirits of layout.

Wolverine's loop ?? C1 , by it's large size ... will increase the loop anyways.
We are filtered/ decoupled by C2/R2. Low currents.

Where I did see mention of this consideration would be for RF/SMPS design in relation
to the PCB , or for a mixed signal layout.

R1 sits in a very quiet area (CCS1) , this IPS is also regulated.

OS, just to clarify...the thread title is DIYA store "Wolverine"...will there also be a DIYA store PCB for the Spooky?

I will try my best to lobby for it. "Spooky" is by far the IPS I get the most PM's
and interest.
Even as I think the Spook is near perfect , it would be good to have the whole
package undergo the same scrutany as the base package (Wolverine/EF3).
I do plan to integrate/explain the use of a external IPS into the build guide.
I do think DIY'ers will like the idea of a "personalized" class AB amp.

OS

All that is needed or future innovation is an open source outline of the IPS and basic parameters to be adhered to, mainly VAS current. The store only need offer the base configuration, or maybe a select few official options like Spooky and a good CFA.

Nice to see this developing nicely with good input from the community.

These are also HV silver mica's.

For consistancy , same macro as C4a/b.

That seems to be it ... Nice board.

OS
Hi OS,

Wow. You found a quick solution to that. Well done OS...

Thanks Mark for pointing that out.

OS please post your version so I can make the changes on my latest version, by overlaying the two. I DON'T want and so mistakes at this point. I'll update it later today.

I also need the value of R5 from post #619
I've learnt alot helping out with layout.
Really enjoyed it. Thanks OS and others who have given there time for this project.

Let's just give everyone a chance to make any final comments.

OS I hope that the store gives you some percentage of the sales, as you have put in a lot of time and effort on this project.

I agree, All anyone needs to do is look at the size of the Honey badger and Slewmater threads and the wealth of information contained with in them.

This DiyAudio site would not be the same without the contributions made by OS.

How about a electronic crossover to tri amp that combination:D
