It was a reply to you. Apologies, multitasking does not work well on Friday night🙂Or, @voxxonline - was that actually your reply to my earlier post?
The Sanken MT-200 outputs, a joy to the eye.
What is so special about them? The Sanken MT-200 outputs, a joy to the eye.
Those MT-200 are the bomb, I used them in my Honey Badger.Just wanted to share my EF3-4's I put together. 1 Pair with MT-200 outputs for 71VDC rails, and 1 pair with MT-100 outputs for 63VDC rails.
Yes they are. Absolutely beautiful. Too bad they will be hid in a box lol.The Sanken MT-200 outputs, a joy to the eye.
The old Sanken can't keep up with a modern transistors. The temperature stability is very bad. What is so special about them?
Have you read the data sheet?Lie again lol. I've tested this.

I didn't post this? - not me!!

It was (not intended). I was going to delete the whole quote but Chrome on Android behaves independently of human input, sometimes 🙂I have edited post #678 to take the reply out of the quotes (per #681). I believe it was not intended to be a quote, as explained here - https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/quotes-being-edited.391428/post-7152712

If I am going to add volume control with a buffer to the same chassis, making it integrated, will SMPS (for instance from cresnet) be more noise prone than the linear option?Anything around +-50VDC will work, or transformer 35VAC secondary. If you are interested in the SMPS supply @Cresnet should be able to set you up with a custom voltage if you ask.
I had no issues with noise in any testing I did, and in fact have 2 amps built that I listen too daily that have no noise issues either. Only thing I would do is add an extra linear LDO regulator after the SMPS for the buffer. https://www.ldovr.com/LT3045-LT3094-Ultra-Low-Noise-Dual-Polarity-PSU-p/lt-dppsu.htm
As far as SMPS vs Linear it really is just personal preference, which way to go.

No harm in building things virtually first 🙂
Please post more! Very encouraging to see 3D plots of an amp build!
Best,
Anand.
Idea is to have dwg or a similar file type so anyone can optimise the layout. Including 3,4,5 U chassis. Not sure if it will be useful to anyone 🙂Please post more! Very encouraging to see 3D plots of an amp build!
