Question about using ES9038 USB Power to power Amanero

Hi Quanghao,

I want to use the LT3042 on the ES9038 board to power the Amanero card.

Do we need to un-solder anything on the Amanero card in order to use the USB bus power from the ES9038 board ?

Hi Quanghao and All,

I just used the USB power with LT3042 from the ES9038 board to power the Amanero card by cutting off the 3.3V regulated supply.

Before that I use the AQVOX USB power to power the Amanero card.

I can tell you that the LT3042 from the ES9038 board is a step up compare to before where I have an external power supply to the Amanero card.

Highly recommended to use the USB power from the ES9038 board.

(for your information, I also have an Intona USB isolator between the computer and the Amanero card).

I am using it right now and no problem. And the LT3042 is powering the Amanero.

Yes, it is better. It sound more musical and sound more 3D.

Have you tried the Coaxial input ? Is the unstable problem only happening to the USB input ?

Now you need to reset the chip.

1. turn on DAC then connect J1,

2. Turn off the DAC, remove J1. And turn on the DAC source again.
