DAC AD1862: Almost THT, I2S input, NOS, R-2R

I/V resistor choice (again)

Anybody experience with this one: https://www.mouser.be/ProductDetail/Vishay-Precision-Group-Foil-Resistors/Y16301K00000T9R?qs=11/0CU%2BtHzGFpPb9xCDPDg==
I would like to use this on the 'Non Feedback Discrete Diamond' IV stage of Pedja Rogic.

If no negative advice, I'll order these.

Regards
I don't see the point of using those resistors in this scheme. Neither is in the way of the signal, nor is great precision required.
It is better to invest your resources in high-quality regulators and matching transistors, because their influence on the sound will be much greater than the choice of resistors themselves.

Do know Pedja is using brandnew low noise smd Toshiba iirc in his AYA5 diy project. But nothing wrong with throuhole transistors. A clean ground with a 4 layers pcb will be better. Non matched transistors can ge you sometimes something nicer with more H2 (pleasing to the ears).

Try to find @Painkiller thread about ad1862 with Pedja's I/V stage. Just in case: you just need the fet transistor with the TDA1541 and not the AD1862.

I didn't do a very extensive I/V resistor test, but I ended up with the Rhopoint 5G10 Mini-Ohm Series. I prefered them over the Vishay's that I initially used. The AD1862 thread is interesting to read now. I think it's titled "AD1862 PCB layout". My project started almost 10 years ago, and the dac has stayed in my system for many years now. I sometimes wish I kept evolving the design to make a full board with all the power supplies and reciever integrated. It's still a rat's nest. But it just sounds so sweet.

I am glad you liked the Rohpoint 😉 ! I haven't included it in my test in Miro's thread cause my 5G10 had too short leads for Miro's ad1862 board. I liked it though on your board Painkiller 🙂. Due to the character of the ad1862, the Rohpoint is a good match as the one I selected in that thread after testing with op1656.

When I will have more time I'd like to make a multibit dac for active filtering (so w/o ADC) with ad1862 with such I/V stage.
