i wil post the drawing/measurements tomorrow,or the next day.
Sounds fantastic thanks.
Is the sub you built and posted measurements a few pages back the only one that exists from this thread so far?

ur epth plan looks good epa i like the dimension . epa i hv a question. when i make the avi file on sketch up why my pic model loss many details. i see isnt clear. but the model u show seems good.
This is beautiful epa thank you! These have fantastic response for their size when compared to something like the lab horn, 3ftx3ftx2ft is quite manageable.
How does v-coupling these affect the response?

with v-coupling you extend the last path (driver to mouth)
this may or may not be beneficial.
you just have to try.

Can do
hi kctess5
do you use a sound processor?
if so i can put the model in akabak to calculate hpf (and eq)
what amp(s) are you going to use?

tnx stanley
you wil need 2 sheets 4'x8'.
the bracing is just a sugestion.
note:not a flat to 30 cab,but flat to 40. 🙂

I'm going to use a dbx driverack for crossing over between everything and eq.
For amplification im going to use the Behringer EPQ2000, two of them will drive the 4 subs.
Now that I'm planning everything I want to get started building! Too bad I have to wait anouther 6 or so months

With 4 of them possibly v coupled that will probably come down around 35hz, when i can use horn resp I can see more accurately
with the drive rack your fully flexible 🙂
i wil put it akabak to see where to x-over
if you look at the excursion graph, you see you can eq @ 35 hz without exceeding the limmits.but you maybe need a litle more power

Where'd you find that? I've been going to Auburn hardwoods
It's a place called Aura Hardwood in Sacramento (or maybe it's considered Rancho Cordova (still Sacramento county))

That's why I'm getting it, also the automated functions will be good for people who don't know how to adjust a system
The amps I chose as a balance between price and how much power I actually need. The amp should be maxing out around near power compression for the subs based off of my quick-n-dirty guesstamating.
Btw the tops I plan to make are the bfm DR250's. 4 total.
are these beringer amps any good?
cannot believe price per watts.😱
I sure hope so 🙂
My budget can't support that many crown amps or similar...
So the owner of this design is real busy at this time.
Can someone put together this design for me please.
Thanks
Now concider this end condition.
The internal panel is kept short of the back panel over its entire width. The path for the horn is split both ways.
The area of the turn can be adjusted as before but as it is twice as wide it can be half the height.
The advantage - as I see it is that this allows for a longer internal path length.🙂
